Well IIRC Theropods were hot-blooded so it would likely still win a short-term fight even in the cold.

First of all: I would like to point out that we still do not conclusively know whether it was the male or female T. rexes that were larger.

Second: The outcome of this fight depends heavily on whether the mammoth can push the T. rex to the ground. I doubt T. rexes were much above 7 Tonnes (and every year we keep getting lower and lower weight estimates for all dinosaurs). That's roughly the same as the largest male woolly mammoths. If the mammoth can get the T. rex off-balance, he wins no problem. He could then proceed to place his front limbs on the T. rex's chest and crush.

Eh? What? Theropods are more like birds and were most likely warm blooded.

The bodies of larger animals are better at retaining heat. And I would think the T. rex would last in a Tundra for a good while.

Of course, nothing changes the fact that the mammoth has the advantages here and would win.

the most recent analysis of a female trex (sue) is like 9 tons. also, its much larger and longer than the mammoth with an insane bite force. they fought animals as large or larger as the mammoth so i dont see how it could lose?

The mammoth should find it easier to turn on the spot. The T. rexes immense bit force doesn't mean much if it can't get at a spot on the mammoth's body to chow down on.

By far the biggest disadvantage the T. rex has here is being two limbed. Something like a small Dromaeosaurid could grapple no problem thanks to far better balance and giant powerful arms (relative to body size). But what about T. rex? If it gets knocked off balance and falls, it is done.

Tyrannosaurus Rex for reasons above but I'd like to point out that it's fairly even but the Rex just has more experience against creatures of it's own weight class.
