Option 1: Naturally it is created by causing an earthquake in the middle of the ocean. It generally happens because one tectonic plate goes under another and due to that tension builds up and the other one works like a spring and causes the earthquake and, of course, a huge push to all the water in the vicinity, thus causing the tsunami.

Option 2: water manipulation lol

is this, but how can I calculate it? use PX scaling and KE?
yes basically. Figure out the volume of the tsunami and its weight, then its speed and get the ke of the whole thing.

Note that creating a giant wave and creating a tsunami are different since a wave is basically a mountain of water while tsunami is like a tectonic plate of water. A wave is big and grand but thin and light compared to the tsunami that isn't tall on average but has it carries with it loads of water.
