Trailers can be used as justification for powers/status/etc?

TBH, our policy on trailers or tends to be inconsistent; it seems a lot of first person shooter and real time strategy games are dependent on user trailer feats, yet certain RPG verses and fighting games say trailers and opening videos are off limits. So I'm pretty glad someone made a thread for these types of feats.

As for the topic at hand, it's kind of a case by case scenerio.

Interestingly, when answering my question about this specific verse I can try to help with that by doing a post about trailers in general.

do you think this one is applicable to the T.A.B.S verse?

I was under the impression that trailers were mostly just non canon material entirely

More often than not, trailers are just made up bits for entertainment purposes, but it’s rare to see actual canon scenes from the series inside the trailer itself.

do you think this one is applicable to the T.A.B.S verse? And literally one of the few things this verse currently has of non-gameplay content (in other words, unaffected by game mechanics)

Aren't trailer feats used for RWBY?
I know there are verses that use trailers to show feats, but I don't know if it applies to everyone, the main thing of my question is if this trailer is applicable to the TABS verse, but it's good to have examples of other larger verses with more content using trailers

I was told RWBY's trailers are more like prologues for each season rather than trailers, so those are still canon. It's not like game trailers that are just their for show.

and the Clash of Clans/Clash Royale that all the content that don't come from the games come from the trailers?

Simse their fighting were until now show in the games during gameplay this is being used as fact even trough it can be just game mechanics, the trailer clearly show troops fighting with strategic thinking (like dodging atacks, Etc) and this makes a lot more sense seeing that the troops aren't dumb and some even have fighring training(like samurais) bur still charge without strategy in combat in the game

^^^^^^^

So as long as it's official then I guess it's fine.

But couldn't you also scale them by their who they supposed to represent. Like say they have knights so get the average straitiges for a knight and apply them?

If u get what I mean.

Yes, maby, but the way it's now ignores it and will probable stay this way while the only cannon battles we have are in gameplay
