Time Stop startup time avg.?

I have been asking myself this question for a while now. I've thought about how those with such an ability have differing startup times, and that each character with this ability differs from how they do it. Dio Brando, Sakuya Izayoi, and even Hades Izanami are some very obvious examples, as many already know. But my question is simple: How long does it take for a Time Stop to activate, on average?

This is important as one character I plan to upload (Shake) is capable of doing this (Sorta...) to his surroundings for approx. one second (Not to good of a feat, but he can either see attacks coming, or recouperate surprisingly fast.). Any calcs are welcome so as long as it complies to the topic.

Good luck solving this conundrum...

I see. Well for one of the noted examples (Hades Izanami), she has an alt. variant that requires prep time unless otherwise noted. That is what I meant. But if most cases are instantaneous, the faster the better. I suppose I should note the "Prep Time" rule on the starting post?

Alright, I think I get it. For starters, by instantaneous, I meant that it still requires a thought, so technially millisecond startup times (or far less depending on the speed of the user), but for prep, normally requires enough time for the plot to stop the timestop. In all seriousness, I doubt there's an average time for prepped timestop, and it wouldn't be useful for a fight as they'd get their heads lobbed off if it took more than a handful of seconds.

Thanks, cal howard. That's all I needed to know; a simple thought for the instantaneous, and Prep Time requiring several seconds. Thankfully Shake belongs to the former case despite his spirit eye doing this. Someone can close this thread now please...

Actually, I have one last question; how fast in speed rating (FTL for instance...) is a simple thought? Just wondering...

If that's a minimum for instantaneous thought speed, I'll use it; otherwise, we'll need help on this... >_>'

Regardless, I'll use it for the prototype page elsewhere until further notice...

Well IIRC DIO could activate his time stop before Star Platinum could punch him. Seeing how SP is MFTL I'd assume his Time Stop would have activate around that speed in order for SP to not hit him yet.

I feel like those who have a time stop similar to DIO's probably are able to activate their time stop as fast as they can react. For example since DIO has FTL reactions and MFTL with The World his time stop would activate around that speed... I hope that doesn't sound stupid.

Well, is Subsonic an instantaneous thought speed, or has others gone faster? I have wondered for a while...

Well now you're getting into thought process speed. Which is something I have no clue about. I'm sticking with reaction speed activation, which is probably wrong ;-;

Well if Time Stop preparation is that fast, I suppose thought speed is irrelevant I guess...

Very well, I'll use reaction speeds even though it was stated by Shake himself his Spirit Eye can already do reaction speeds equal to Aiwhen's running speeds (Which is fast enough...). Is one allowed to mention two reaction speed feats at once? Because I could've sworn it would make things more confusing...

Also, don't worry about that kind of thing. If I'm allowed, I'll use reaction speed is opposed to actual thought process (It seems relevant for Shake anyway...).

Well, can you put 2+ feats on a section of the same kind (2 Reaction Speed feats in this case.)?

Just wondering.

Actually, I just want to know if I can a Secondary Reaction Speed feat, I already have one via Shake's Spirit Eye; I want to put one more of said feat type in for the time stop properties...
