Threads that focus on specific aspects of a match?

Say that someone wanted to make a thread that primarily discusses a specific point that could apply to a match-up, like if Lucy's Capricorn Star Dress (Fairy Tail) would protect her from Itachi's Tsukuyomi (Naruto), and the thread is mainly about that instead of the entire fight between Lucy and Itachi or who would win.

Are threads like that ok to go into the Versus Threads? Do they need to go somewhere else on the forum? Or is that kind of thread just not allowed period?

The supernatural aspects of the verses will be balanced properly so that characters can fight unless there are certain restrictions (like not working on an object or something...). It's explained well in the Standard Battle Assumption.

Are threads like that ok to go into the Versus Threads? Do they need to go somewhere else on the forum? Or is that kind of thread just not allowed period?

If it's a match it will be VS Thread, ofc.
