I know that the spinning parry works but just blocking normally with the umbrella?

The spinning parry is for blocking multiple enemy attacks at once while the normal one is for single enemy attacks. Even then, it just damaged wolf rather than actually breaking the umbrella. If it smokes, he's able to attack with two times the power of the attack/s he has blocked/parried.

Me neither till very recently while I was checking out the sen throw. I don't have the game with me atm so this is the next best option.
