“Phew! I sincerely hope I never have to do that again.” Alison sighed as she sank into the hotel room’s chair.

“Damn, Al, Cleaver couldn’t’a picked a worse time to bust himself out.” Feral said as she knelt down next to her friend. “Think you’ll still be able to attend the pitch tomorrow? I’m sure Lis will understand if you wanna postpone.”

“Thanks Tara, but I think I’ll be fi-”

“Your sapphic sweetheart actually has a good point.” A male voice suddenly chimed in, prompting both Feral and Alison to direct their attention to the open window. There stood a blonde, blue-eyed man donning an American flag cape.

“You really should take it easy tomorrow. In fact, you might even consider staying out of my ******* spotlight permanently.” Homelander continued.

“Spotlight? Cleaver could’ve killed so many people today. Who cares who gets credit for taking him down?” Alison asked, standing to her feet and staring down the intruder. “More importantly, how the hell did you get in this room?”

Homelander shrugged and smiled. “Ah, right! I borrowed a key from this super nice, maybe a bit stubborn, woman I saw leaving the conference room downstairs. Robot leg, glasses, dreads?”

Feral’s eyes and mouth widened as the realization reached her.

“Yeah, I mean, probably should get it back to her, but… I dunno, something tells me she won’t be needing it.” John continued, his eyes glowing red.

Feral let out a screech, her claws extending from her fingertips, and charged. Her assault was cut short by scorching beams of energy slicing clean through her torso. No sooner had her two halves hit the ground before the pixie-haired former superhero crossed the remainder of the room to face down Vought’s poster boy.

“So, do we have an understanding?” Homelander asked with a smirk.

Alison cracked her neck and replied. “When I’m done? You’ll certainly understand how big of a mistake you just made.”
