The most well known/popular verse per country

Feluda or Sholay might be better choices than Chhota bheem here, If we are counting stuff like that

It seems like you have mentioned an Indian character. Do you know a name of the verse where Feluda is originating from?
 
For France it might be the Matter of Brittain/Arthurian Cycle. The Matter of Britain is basically a fictional history of Great Brittain and their kings, that most prominently included the Arthurian Cycle. The Arthurian Cycle is a name for the full story of King Arthur, The Knights of the Round Table, Camelot, the quest for the holy grail, etc
