On second thought this is a better matchup. Probably the best Chrono Matchup I'll ever come up with. No spam for either verse, both time related... This time, for sure, nothing can possibly go wrong. Also because I wanted to post this marvelous artwork for something, somewhere.

Context: While messing around Time and stuff, Sakuya finds the Black Omen floating outside stuff and wrecks through its 6 stages (though somehow she doesn't lose any stamina) getting to Queen Zeal and deciding to solve this Incident.

RULES: Takes place in the final stage Black Ome . Speed Equalized, otherwise anything goes. Queen Zeal vs Sakuya Izayoi. "Zeal via Lavos" is restricted.

So...um...Halation and MP Buster kinda screw over Sakuya, given that Sakuya's time prowess is gonna be nulled by Zeal being above time currently, and insta-energy drain + omnidirectional wave to reduce to 1 HP instantly + homing energy spheres spells Sakuya's demise

Unless Sakuya pulls out her time erase early enough, she doesn't have a chance in hell.....

Basically what Gar said. If she leads with anything else, she gets drained, basically making her an easy target for Zeal or her summons in the Mega Mutant or the Mammon Machine.

Also, Life Shaver and MP Buster activate via pointing, so that's...a thing.

Ok, so the question, is this a stomp claim or decisive victory.

Decisive, if that. Especially because Zeal can't one-shot, while Sakuya can. Zeal just has the means to handily win if Sakuya doesn't lead with that one-shot technique, which she likely won't.

Plus, danmaku is a thing.

Then it would either become western shootout (and I'm tired of those).... Actually Zeal wins in those conditions via higher range.

MP Buster is a counter move, so she'd use it directly after getting hit. Halation, yeah. That comes out right away, but it doesn't OS. It does everything but.

Though she could teleport her to the Mammon Machine and let that absorb or no-sell things.

@Cal Base Zeal has Death Kiss which absorbs MP either way without needing to be counter.

Problem with a Bloodlusted Zeal is that she would open with halation and follow with either AOE Starburst or Heavenly Gate which appears directly on the opponent , does the damage and after that surrounds them from all directions with energy beams on top of that.

...All that while the independent hands do their thing.

So yeah. Sakuya's range with Space-Time manip is hundreds of meters. Queen Zeal reachs kilometers. SBA puts them at 4km away.

In character Zeal might let Sakuya close in the distance because... Zeal. Bloodlusted will not.
