The Eminence in the Shadows Discussion Thread

I mean does the anime really change the overall narrative though? LN Cid fights Beatrix and Iris inside the stadium, anime they go all over the city, ok we can't use those speed feats which cover the city since it wasn't in the LN, end result is the same Cid low diffs both characters. Lets say another feat happens like the LN, idk Cid vs Vampire Queen, we can actually see the characters move unlike the LN, in that case their speed wouldn't contradict anything, seems it could be case by case, not one big stroke of no way anything could ever be accepted.

But anyway i am not really gonna argue it, have much more important things to do.So i won't oppose this, more calcs are always welcome.

Actually I'm not disregarding overall anime feats. Sorry I should have explained better. Yeah it's case by case if feats are mentioned in the LN and Manga we can use anime counterparts for Calculations.
But current speed scaling should be reworked. I got MHS+ Calculation for Cid but it needs to be accepted first.

I don't follow our Canon rules, so idk, but if Toei Goku has a profile, maybe anime Cid can as well? Can't remember any other profile where the anime version of the character is listed as a key.

But yea the eminence anime has a drastic difference in terms of feats, probably requires a whole discussion thread to decide what to do.

I don't want to bother you but I have some problems with Shadow's profile.

First of all, his Durability. I don't think I AM ATOMIC is qualified to be used as an argument for durability. I AM ATOMIC doesn't have any reinforcing feats for Shadow so I think it should be removed.

Also I have a problem with the Regenaration negation. It's rated High-Mid just because Alpha negated a monster that could regenerate after being bisected.

The regeneration of the monster in question Highball is Low-Mid. Here's what it says on the regeneration page:
If a character can regenerate from having their head destroyed but not from having their heart destroyed, they would be listed as having Low-Mid regeneration

He literally stands the middle of that nuke I don't see why he doesn't qualifies for that.

I don't have any as there is no scan where it affects him.
The fact is that when he was facing the clones of Olivier, when he decided to destroy the sanctuary with I AM THE ALL RANGE ATOMIC, he was injured by a clone of Olivier. So honestly if it affected him he would be dead by then.

Then there is nothing to discuss. Bring the scan and we can discuss that. Also it's your burden to prove During I'm Atomic he isn't amping his durability with magic. It's your burden.

I suggest you go back and read the chapter with patience.
Cid never had any magic amps while he got injured.

Also give me a scan where he is affected. This is just an assumption on your part and on the wiki we work with feats.

It is already stated in volume 1 that one's magic capacity is equal to their total defenses. Since Shadow uses his magic capacity to perform 'I Am Atomic,' which causes the attack, it is safe to say that he has that level of durability as well.
That said, I’m no match for nukes. Well, I know my defenses will increase with my magical capacity, but have you seen the firepower of those weapons on Earth?

And I am Atomic is made to withstand nuclear based Weapons.

He didn't had magic when he fought Oliver if he had magic he wouldn't even need I'm Atomic to beat that clone. He wanted to destroy whole thing because it was draining his magic. Stop making headcanons.

This is much clearer and more obvious. The explanation on the profile is vague and when I came here no good argument was provided. Thanks for explaining to me.
