I'm uncertain how skillful Harry is with the Vanishing Spell. But if the "greatest challenge" is to vanish a kitten, then imagine a human-sized individual with a large amount of clothing such as the Plague Doctor. I don't think being able to use the spell on an individual whose mass is 95.3 kilograms is going to be really effective.
