Looks like a stretched assumption. Homelander even said "I took him to space". If he wanted to throw he could have just done it from ground.

Assume Mach 1 HL
At 2 second, he would have flown 600 meters in the air, and would have to chuck the dude the remaining 99,400m. This interpretation implies HL can chuck a person that high. If that's the case, why would he even bother to fly up instead of just chucking him?
Statements of HL being Mach 1.5 in flight speed, where A-Train is Mach 1.

It's not impossible for Homelander to take him to the clouds then throw him. Really, either of the two could have happened. It's not stretched. It's just a shaky supporting feat. I don't subscribe to it personally, I don't take things at face value here because Powerscaling in The Boys has been very off in S5.

The author's statements matter less than the story he wrote.
But that's not what was stated, and it's nonsensical to fly up 600 meters to chuck a person 100km in the air, he could've done it at ground level. You're inventing an alternate interpretation to solve for a seeming outlier.

No, but the opposite isn't stated in the verse either, All those statments that the A-Train is the fastest are just marketing hype.
In addition, just as A-Train’s speed was measured using speed-measuring devices, Homelander’s speed was also measured and found to be faster than A-Train’s top speed.
The statement that A-Train is faster than Homelander comes from a WOG and contradicts the characters’ previously stated speeds. And A-Train’s scene in Season 5 contradicts both itself and all previous statements. I think A-Train should be scaled according to his own statements and showing, and Homelander according to his own statements and showing, and we should write a note explaining why this is the case.

I almost never disagree with statements,i think its a bit stupid(Except when its not from a valid source).The author is asserting the narrative with statements,and I take narrative over feats.

The Boys has been one of my favorite shows, and I’ve been following it religiously since Season 2. Honestly, I really enjoyed the finale. At its core, this story was always about Homelander and Butcher, and we’ve been waiting years for their final confrontation—it definitely satisfied me. Butcher was even stronger than I expected, but the part that truly satisfied me the most was when their powers were gone, and Butcher ended up beating Homelander to a pulp with his bare hands

I thought the episode was fine for what it is, but it wasnt great. The pacing has been horrible since most noticeably season 4 and it doesnt really feel like a proper finale.
I think the space feat is probably MHS but trying to scale it to general physicals instead of flight speed is how you get the feat dismissed altogether so I'd be careful and not try to jump the gun on it.

Saw the episode finally. It manages to hit the emotional beats, the problem is how it gets there makes no sense. Also Vought. Here is the thing, Homelander is not the Devil, Vought is, Homelander was just a symptom. Even the posters act like it will be the end of Vought with the destroyed Vought tower, But the real villain gets of scott free.
This was very disappointing. Gen V was wasted, the world of Supes is just relegated to Homelander only even though 98% of the supes are just as twisted and ****** up as he is (they just didn't have the power) and this doesn't even feel like a high stakes finale because it's not.
I will give props to the music though, it really elevated the scenes. But Butcher sneaking into the White house when they literally have that Iconic walk to adapt is just, wtf.

Agreed. The show tells you time and time again Homelander is the way he is because of Vought being comically evil and turning a child into a product. Yet Stan isn't punished despite overseeing the project that was dedicated to torturing saidchild. It genuinely annoys me how the fanbase glazes Stan Edgar as this "Stoic, Stone-Faced Sigma with aura" when he is legit a piece of shit he deserved a fate worse than death, but people gloss over this fact cause "aura bro".
This is another reason why I think it's a very poorly written finale, not just scale or stakes. Where's Stan's punishment?

I don't really get the separation in this case. We do know the Homelander - even as a young inexperienced Supe - has super speed on foot, as shown in Diabolical when he disarms the people in his first save. I think you'd have to go through a lot of hoops to argue Homelander physically moving his own body through space doesn't require some degree of reactions comparable to the speeds at which he's moving.

Deep's death is so contrived. You are telling me that on a Random coast, all these animals (who don't appear in shallows unless hunting seals or something) were just waiting for Deep somehow ? Soldier boy didn't know shit about MrMarathon and Homelander was sitting in a corner waiting for the V1,he has no reason to stand up and call MrM out, because he simply didn't care if he lied or not.
