Battleground: CP_Gullywash.

Battle Parameters:

  • Everyone starts near the center point (Point 3).
  • Setup time of 90 seconds (especially to help Engi prepare his buildings). They can all freely move in that period of time but cannot attack or go 15 meters near another mercenary before the fight begins.
  • Fight starts at Noon. No time limit, the fight is over when there is only one man standing.
  • The mercs have the same knowledge of one another as they do in-game and in the comics.
  • Victory via permanent death/Knock out/Incapacitation/Other means of rendering the opponent unable to fight. Soldier's immortality is restricted for the sake of this battle. If he is killed once, he's out. Same with the other mercenaries.
  • Engineer can build in any location he can reach. Areas that are normally restricted, like the spawn rooms, are open, however the Resupply Lockers are unusable.
  • Environmental damage is allowed.
  • Medic starts with 0% ubercharge.
  • No healthpacks/ammo kits. However, if the mercenary has a means of healing themselves, such as the Half-Zatoichi, they can use it.
  • Mercenaries can use any of their standard equipment/weapons useable in-game (However, no spells, no power-up canteens, although grappling hooks are allowed). Switching between primary and another primary for example, will take the same time as swapping to primary to secondary, etc.
  • Taunt-kills are fairgame. As is taunting after killing someone.

Inconclusive. It can go anyone's way depending entirely on how they approach the fight and what weapons they decide to use. This is a battle of wits and skills with their weapons, and as such there are countless ways for this fight to commence.

I mean, Pyro is really the only merc that was actually shown to 100% solo an entire team? I mean, sure people like Soldier and Demon are seen demolishing large groups of people. But like... the BLU Mercs stood NO chance against Pyro.

Although I'm a Pyro main.

Should my vote count?

The 'Meet The' videos are just meant to show off each mercenary and what kind of role they provide; Valve seems to be biased towards RED in these videos, based on how BLU is always shown to be inferior. Meet The Pyro isn't so different. It doesn't mean that Pyro's strong enough to solo a whole team, especially when nothing else supports this.
