So currently TF2 Standard and Optional Equipment is a bit lacking rn and I want to make two proposals to try to clean it up a bit. Btw Various weapons and various cosmetics will link to the classes' Weapon list and cosmetics list but I didn't add a link to them here cause these are just examples of how the equipment layout may look.

Proposal 1: Everything Standard

Standard Equipment: Various weapons, various cosmetics, Action items, Power Up Canteens
This adds Magic Spells and Power Up Canteens which aren't noted on profiles even though their used in abilities. I put Magic Spells as Optional Equipment since they're only normally useable on Halloween maps and aren't something the mercs have access to often. I also added cosmetics as equipment cause why not?

Agree: @Homie890
Disagree:
Neutral:

Proposal 2: Stock Weapons Standard

Standard Equipment: [List of the classes stock weapons here]
Same as before but only the Classes' stock weapons are standard and everything else is Optional Equipment.

Proposal 3: All Weapons Standard

Standard Equipment: Various weapons, Power Up Canteens
Suggested by @TheGatememer; Some Mercenaries are often seen with alternative equipment rather than their stock, such as Heavy with the Sandvich, and Pyro with the Scorch Shot and Flare gun.

Agree: @CrackerVolley @Half_Shiny @Detective_Blizzard @TheMassivlyUnkn0wn @ShionAH @DarkDragonMedeus @OrangeFR @FinePoint
Disagree:
Neutral:

Thats all for now. I might add some stuff from Taunts in a different crt soonish so look out for that ig.

I'm inclined to say that all Weapons, and Powerup Canteens should be Standard Equipment, while everything else, including cosmetics, magic spells, etc should be optional.

I say all weapons, since some of the Mercenaries are seen with their other equipment more than their stock alternative, such as Heavy with the Sandvich, Pyro with the Scorch Shot, etc.

Good point, I'll add this as a third proposal rq.

Bump, btw anyone know which staff normally evaluate TF2 crts?

Honestly, a Scream Fortress Tabber would probably be best for stuff like the Soul Gargoyle, and Spells, but that’s for another CRT

Option 3 is probably the most accurate since there are countless examples of the mercs having their 'optional' gear on standby.

Scout having the fact that it is canon that they have way too many force of natures in universe, so much to a point where Saxton Hale makes literal chairs of them

Sniper obviously has the Jarate at his constant disposal

Demoman literally lives with the Eyelander

Engi's gunslinger is just his hand

Heavy obviously using various miniguns depending his mood and almost always having a Sandvich on person

The medigun Medic uses during the Meet The video is the Quick-Fix

Pyro using his flare guns probably more than actual shotguns in his depictions

to name a few off hand

Yeah, it's a little weird. Like, every weapon the mercenaries have are usable in the game... But do the mechanics of the game itself allow every weapon to be used during a single match?

Yeah. You can switch them to anything mid-matxh

Bump! I think this needs one more staff approval.
I really need to remember to bump my crts more.

I'd say Grappling Hook is the only other Action Item that would be useful in battle, so instead of all it should be only it. Agree with 3

Gargoyle also seemingly gives all mercs Soul Manipulation, so nice

All the Action Items are equipment that can be given to the mercs whether or not their useful in battle so they all should be indexed on profile. And just singling out the Grappling Hook would leave out important Action Items like the spell books and Canteens.

Ok then, will call a few staff members to get it applied

I'm still not sure which staff member I should go to for TF2 stuff.
