Basically, there's some pills that suppress the powers of an Esper, these are actually a Stimulant. Just one grain (64.7989 miligrams) of whatever the pills are made of, is 5 times more powerful than an entire bag of drugs. And Tetsuo used this quite a bit pre-time skip to only minimal effect.

He also had $3500 worth drugs, and was still fully functional within the night. He also later does have all the other drugs.

Tetsuo also had an unknown mixture, a drop of which would kill any normal Human, and was only briefly affected by like half the entire mixture, and still remained functional, despite being just a teenager.

He does eventually OD due to having just one more of those pills, but he survives, whereas a normal human would die, it's also heavily implied that it was largely due to his powers.

Akira (who is noted to have the exact same powers as Tetsuo) could functio despite right in the center of a chamber that was cooled down to absolute zero for years. Even if you don't agree it's absolute zero, Akira and Tetsuo could easily survive, while normal humans were frozen.

They were affecting his psyche, making his telekinetic power more dangerous and with less control once he started to recover.

I thought it was the opposite, i guess i was thinking about the anime. Anyway, the fact he's not dead speaks volumes about his resistance + the other stuff.

Ok, i suppose thats fine. He received the drugs in both the Manga and Ova, but i do not remember if the cold thing was present the Ova.

The cold thing wasn't present in the OVA, nor the drug specifics. Though a case could be made to keep the drug stuff for the OVA since it was the same writer, and he does visibly have the drugs at one point (it was the bar scene if memory serves).

Oh, you've added it. I guess this can be closed.
