Supernovas Downgrade

I will ask CinCameron20 about this.

They don't directly scale to Luffy. While Luffy, Zoro, and Sanji combined failed to do any significant damage to a Pacifista w/ out their outright strongest attacks (Asura and Gear 3rd), the other Supernovas were more effective against them, with the exception of Urouge and Killer.

Though Luffy's tiering isn't entirely clear on the gap between his base and Gear 3rd.

Okay. Thanks. Perhaps this should be clarified in their profiles, to avoid future misunderstandings.

Shouldn't luffy be "likely high 6-c" in fishman Island? And zoro and Sanji be 7-a? It's not like they got any stronger from fishman Island to dressrosa, both arcs are after the time skip training, fishman Island shouldn't even be a separate key, the characters are the same strength in fishman Island as they are in dressrosa

Regardless that it does not make much sense without training, characters in shounen series tend to get stronger from storyarc to storyarc.

Yeah but in this case they did have a 2 year timeskip where they trained, and fishman Island takes place after the timeskip, so having luffy be 7-c in fishman Island is basically saying that the 2 years of training did nothing and that fighting some weak fishmen is what made them stronger

Well, we still likely cannot scale backwards and assume that Luffy was always High 6-C after the timeskip. This is a common plot hole in these types of stories, yes, but nevertheless, we have no proof of Luffy being remotely that strong at this earlier point in the series.

The only problem I have with Fishman Island Arc tiers is that we scale everyone to Luffy's Town+ feat from punching Hody into a cliff-side, but disregard that Hody was later one-shot by Elephant Gun after eating handfuls of the power enhancing drug he had.

It was stated that each doubles the physical abilities of the consumer each time he takes one. So 1 goes to 2, 2 goes to 4, 4 goes to 8 (this is despite starting at "1"... eating 3 will essentially make you 8 times stronger). I'll find the chapter when I get back from class later tonight.

So, just as an example: Hody tanks the Town+ punch. He later devours 16 pills containing the drug (just a random estimate). If the drug consistently doubles Hody's physical abilities, he would be hundreds or even near a thousand times stronger with that logic. Luffy one-shots him with Elephant Gun.

Regarding the Energy Steroid, this is what the wiki stated: "One pill enhances the strength of the user two fold, therefore a fishman's strength will become twenty times that of an average human. The multiplier is cumulative, so two pills will make it four fold, and each additional intake will continue to increase the strength exponentially. Hody took four pills so his strength increased sixteen fold, and while being underwater further multiplied his strength by ten, this made him at least three hundred and twenty times stronger than the average human (he is much stronger than the average fishman)."

So, as i suggested, each individual pill multiplies the AP of the consumer by 2. And it is consistent for each pill consumed.

Is scaling the tiering of a character in that manner with this reasoning acceptable?

Also, i found a feat by Hody himself if it actually amounts to anything substantial. Page 1 and Page 2

And I think I can calculate Luffy's initial kick on Hody Jones from the bottom panel here since the destruction looks more substantial to the one where he strikes him with haki.

Well, if it is an in-series multiplier, and Hody increased his power by 16 times, I suppose that it seems reasonable to multiply the Town level+ feat's energy output by this amount.

However, you should probably copy the old calculation, and then make an x16 addition, in a blog post, so we have something to link to.

@Ant - i just did a calculation on another Luffy feat which Hody Tanked. Came out at 977.3 Kilotons Large Town level+. And since Luffy wasn't even using haki, we might have Low 7-B Base Luffy for Fishman Island.

The multiplier is actually doubling the power of the consumer each pill, but by that logic, we'd have around 6-C Hody Jones, so that's a problem unless it's actually acceptable.

Well, I do not think that we can use such extremely high multipliers.

Perhaps you could start a new content revision thread for this topic, to ask for further staff input?

Actually, couldn't Luffy scale to Jinbe? Both traded blows with eachother, and Luffy actually harmed Jinbe with his punches and kicks.

He could likely scale to Jinbe, yes.
