I think that's a bit exaggerated, before Thanos put on the gauntlet he could take her hits and throw her away and she didn't get up for 3 whole seconds. After he put on the gauntlet the energy was kinda frying his arm. She's not magnitudes stronger than Thanos.

He was in a compromised position where she used both hands to restrain his one arm that was being fried by the gauntlet.

The headbutt part where she looks determined was probably the most impressive showing by Captain Marvel in that fight but the rest of it doesn't indicate that she could have easily overpowered him. She had no reason to hold back her hits so every punch is presumed to be at full force against Thanos.

It's possible that Captain Marvel is stronger, the fight is too short to know that but they're closer to comparable than stomping.
