Just gonna point out that age really means nothing in regards to skill. Take Ozpin from RWBY as an example, his age is always ignored in regards to skill despite being tens of thousands of years old and having tens of thousands of lifetimes worth of pro huntsmen skill composited into his soul

Goku has the skill advantage clearly & to effectively use skills & range Attacks he has speed advantage for backing it up, he can also power Pole & fly & can also use long Range Attacks with better Speed & skill than Sun (he is almost twice as fast as him with a decent skill gap)
