Subaru Vs The Princess (Re Zero vs Slay the Princess)

Subaru getting a win, not because of any preternatural abilities, but because he's genuinely just a pretty good guy, is based actually.

Votes rn are 6-2 counting Fezzih's switchup. (With 2 being incon)

I vote on Subaru too. If he learns she's a threat to the world but that she's just a princess he'd probably go think it's a misunderstanding kinda like Emilia

If the narrator is with him though I think it changes things, since there would be someone saying all the time 'she's dangerous and she'll end the world' it's hard to not get suspicious when that is happening

I say it's a draw. A repetitive one too.
Here is why: Subaru in his core is a good guy and no matter if he gets the info about that the Princess is able to literally end the world, in the sense that nothing would exist anymore, I think he would still rather doubt the Narrator and follow straight up The Damsel route over and over again as soon as he meets Shifting Mound and learns more about her.
If we say that similar mechanics influence too, safe the Voices which wouldn't likely even exist in his case, then I think the routes he would end up are those, in this order:

Round 1: Damsel

Round 2: Beast (I think it ended up in The Beast if the second resistance fails/is not available)
--> The Wild (Burry the hatred: this happens after he gets eaten. He would be confused at first, definitely be really anxious but likely also sense that The Wild isn't bad. Also, I think he would definitely want to know what's going on here and try to find out what is beyond the construct. )

Round 3: Witch (would try to save her, failing, attacking because of being unable to resist and then create the Witch in the end.)
--> The Thorn: (after his failing attempt to reconcile with the Witch he would end up with Thorn and free her.)

Round 4: Nightmare (ends up leaving her in the cabin where he then suffers the same fate like it happened with The Long Quiet.)
--> Moment of Clarity (through getting killed as soon as he confronts the Nightmare. He would then try to get rid off her but instead end up in freeing her.)

Final Round: Prisoner (here it becomes interesting. The invisible force would force him to claim the blade but afterwards he would save her which would end up in the Prisoner. Now there are even 2 options how this could end up)

a) Subaru trusts the princess and witnesses how she kills herself.
a1) Subaru leaves the cabin and gets "Happy End" result where he gaslights himself into thinking to being fine.
a2) He kills himself and ends up with Cage
a3) He thinks there must be more into it, takes her head and frees her.

b) He tries to figure out more about the chains and then destroys the cabin in thinking that there has to be some clue and change.

I think b) would be likely.

Finally, there would be the confrontation with Shifting Mound. But we have a problem now. Shifting Mound isn't complete without Long Quiet and in such a what if scenario I think SM wouldn't have a clue either, which leaves only the choice to give up her divinity and go into the unknown with princess and then later tries to figure out how he could return to his verse again.
Or he would ask SM to send him back to his own verse.

That's how I think it would go.
