Spongebob VS Dig Dug

Dig Dug inflates Spongebob until he bursts.

And yes, Spongebob has been inflated before, it's shown in the intro.
 
Point taken, but I'm almost certain it's happened at some point. Being inflated with air does indeed affect spongebob.

Or not, depending on what is more entertaining for the situation.
 
I vote for Dig Dug for the same reasons. No way Spongebob can dodge the prototype of "GET OVER HERE!"
 
Dig Dug can inflate Spongebob, yes.

But you are forgetting that fact that Spongebob can expel water and oxygen with the pores on his body, Dig Dug can't kill Spongebob with his ONE killing move.

Giving this to good ol' Squarepants.

Spongebob, despite his pores, gets inflated by the air in the tires. Oxygen doesn't just hold itself in like that.

Not to mention that there are numerous other occasions where spongebob has been inflated and the contexts remained in his body. His pores are open in all of these, and the substances he was being inflated with have stayed inside of him each time, and would only be expelled through his mouth. So Dig-Dug can just place the pump in his mouth and make him burst.

Plus, considering Spongebob is only four inches tall, and Dig-Dug, who is presumably around human height, can inflate opponents that are around his size and burst them with three pumps, Spongebob would burst to shreds after about one pump.

Also, the pump isn't the only thing Dig-Dug has. The pump also doubles as a jackhammer.
 
Except Dig-Dug's jackhammer should still be able to do the trick. At the very least, Dig-Dig could just straight up impale Spongebob, pull him in, and then pulverize him with his jackhammer.
 
So Dig Dug impales Spongebob with his air pump, then sits there using it for a long while until Spongebob finally explodes, and then...

Spongebob regenerates.

Spongebob then proceeds to beat up Dig Dug and/or Plot Manip/Reality Warp him into oblivion.

Spongebob doesn't even need that. He can simply turn him into a jar of mayonnaise
