Is there any reason for his physicals to not scale to his fire breath when literally everypony that's fodder does?

I'm pretty sure he isn't weaker than Apple Bloom or Sweetie Belle by that much.

Stopped watching the show a long time ago, but if nothing has happened since season 5 proving this otherwise, seems alright to me

I agree with the upgrades; I also doubt Spike being that much weaker than the fillies. And he's actually quite strong despite his tiny size. I'd wait for DarkAnine before applying as usual, but I do approve Spike being early 8-A.

Like I've said several times already, there's really no reason why Spike should not scale. Even before puberty, he was able to hurt Storm Minions who fought on relative equal grounds with the Sky Pirates and Mane Six.
