I asked some people and they agreed that something similar should be soul resistanceThey are still harmed and if the stand is damaged enough, they can faint or even die, i'm pretty sure we don't give resist to soul manip just by surviving attacks unless it is explicit that they should've died.
Where's the scans, or sources, or literally anything.
Could be true but I've seen people say simply surviving attacks to your soul is enough for baseline levels of resistanceResistance to Soul Manipulation would be if the Stand was destroyed completely, and the user survived the ordeal. Taking a blow to the soul and, furthermore, suffering equivalent damage to the body is not Resistance. Like, the fact that their souls can be interacted with in the first place is evidence against the notion of Resistance.
Supernatural Willpower: Stand users have withstood punishment to their own soul.
Ok but is surviving a spiritual attack resistance to soul manipulation? They ain't actually resisting anything, it's just the manifestation of the soul, the Stand, in most cases, has durability, and a lot of the "soul attacks" they take have AP, so they can take a hit or two. It'd be like giving a ghost resistance to Soul manip because it survived a punch from a dude with NPI.
Actual abilities that affects souls effects them all the same, for example, Chariot Requiem's soul manip works on Stands with zero issue and straight up ***** them hard, Whitesnake's Soul Manip works fine on Stands and he can even turn them into Stand DISCs, every Stand ability that also effects Stands, effects Stands the same as it would a non-Stand, etc.
Would be better off listing it under supernatural will or something like Goku has for taking damage to his soul, but given every Stand dude bar very few should have that anyway, it's just extra evidence to the pile.

In this case it wouldn't be, if the attack in question has a large enough AP, it'd straight up kill them. See King Crimson gutting Spice Girl.Ok but is surviving a spiritual attack resistance to soul manipulation?
Chariot's ability is classified as the power over souls. This enables him to Empower Stands/Swap souls/Control souls/Control Stands, forcing the Stand to even attack the main body/Fuse souls/etc and more, he can do a **** ton of shit, and every Stand is vulnerable to that. This isn't relevant though, their abilities are like soul absorption and moving them around (Chariot) or turning them into discs
I agree.
Simplying surviving an attack to the soul / manfiestation of the soul is not Resistance inherently.
I think there should be a minor addition to the Soul Manipulation page to clarify thisYeah Chariot and the rest make sense, for perspective this would be like giving RWBY characters soul resistance for withstanding Aura damage and aura breaks
Disagree as well
The will thing is because of the Goku CRT iirc. Also, should supernatural willpower go as well? Or replace it with another justification like their stands are born of their will
jojo character are just built different i swear almost every character including minor ones who only show up for 1 or 2 episodes have at least 1 ridiculous pain tolerance feat, sometimes on some damn near minor immortality type 2 shitThe will thing is because of the Goku CRT iirc.
You're right in the latter though, to be a Stand user needs one to have a tremendous force of will, and lack of such causes one to die or if they get as far to manifest a Stand, be incapable of controlling it and dying anyway. It's also why animals and criminals are more likely to have Stands as according to Araki, a criminal has a stronger will than noncriminals more often than not in order to do heinous acts and what not and animals are entirely instinctive and have a much stronger life or death preservation and will to survive than a person. Stands also move according to one's will and fighting spirit, and the stronger the will affects the Stand's capabilities proportionally.
among other stuff, there's like 3 different reasons why most stand users would have this innately, not counting special cases like Bruno who straight up refuses to die due to his willpower and the fact he doesnt have that listed is actual insanity
