Trickier? Dr. Eggman does that in character all the time. He just doesn't like using the same weapon twice in canon but its different in a vs debate when we give him access to everything he used.

He has consistently tricked Knuckles in the past, and in this he even tricked Sonic, he would suck his energy up

But wait a little, would this even end the fight? Sonic could still fight in base afterwards, he only got send out by Eggman before doing anything, if Knuckles had already destroyed the other machines he would be toast, plus he would be defenseless right in front of Knuckles

True, my bad. Here’s a different argument.

Eggman has access to all his machines, up to his tier 4 stuff.

If the Forced BFR doesn’t effect Knuckles, it will effect the Emeralds.

It becomes Base Knuckles vs Dr. Eggman’s tier 4 machines.
