The only notable difference is Sephy has low-high regen in that key, he still has type 8 immortality and the massive AP advantage on top off multiple forms of (IC) durability negation to cripple or outright insta-kill Sonic.

Super Sonic may have stonewall durability but he ain't tanking borderline galaxy level attacks (some of which bypass defences) yeah the one-winged angel stomps by throwing his sword!
