Sonic General Discussion Zone Act 19: His World

I didn't say anything jabish at all. Grow thicker skin if you feel offended for different opinions. Simple as that. In no place I personally attacked anyone outside of the first comment's topic which is just a harmless joke about readers' expectations.

But oh well, I finally had my first heated exchange with Sonic people.

Oh it's not me you offended. But if you try and just say "it's a joke, grow thicker skin", then you seem to just not be aware of emotional depth when it comes to what you say in relation to what others think. Especially when you see so many people pointing fingers at each other on this site for what you just joked about. Forgive people if they don't find it as humorous lol

Nobody here was heated, User just makes a habit of using overdramatic vocab. If you want a heated discussion, if that's what your very being craves, then... I dunno. Say Sonic Boom > Modern Sonic or something. That should do it

On the topic of IDW, is the plan for us to wait till after sonic and friends fight the deadly six to gauge an IDW power scaling?

Has nothing to do with the wiki, but I'd like to let people who are interested know Mark Haynes has 4 minutes and 20 seconds of the 2nd Episode of Super Mario Bros Z reboot completed.

I wonder if Ep 2 will cover multiple episodes of the original like how the first episode was the first 2 of the orignal series put together. Haven't payed much attention to Haynes since his breakdown over Prfincess Peach being high tier in Smash but it's nice to see that the SMBZ reboot is still on track.

Nope, It sounds like it's just covering episode three. It's going to reach 30 minutes including the opening and closing because he's also expanding the Mecha (not named Mecha) Sonic vs Yoshi fight.

We will also see Bowser in the 2nd episode instead of waiting to cut back to him at episode 7. He's not gonna be crying like a baby but he is in a cast.

I'll reserve judgment on how Metallix's sprite animations look after the Yoshi fight.

That, and I have no idea what Metallix's final form will look like. Hopefully it's not golden. I thought it was pretty clever to use golden form with just four emeralds.

I was adding Tabbers on Merlina the Wizard's page and I noticed she is missing a power set to describe her ability to observe activities throughout the Kingdom of King Arthur. What kind of ability is this, for I'm forgetting the name.

Wait, if Merlina's Clairvoyance can track Base Sonic's movements, isn't that an additional speed feat for her magic?

Question: is anyone enjoying IDW Sonic?

I'm still following for the payoff at the end of the Metal Virus Arc and the characters to return to do things.

But the drama feels like it expected us to know these characters.

I'm wondering if anyone else feels off by it.

It's decent. Nothing particularly bad or groundbreaking has gone down since the Neo Metal Sonic Arc.

My only gripe is with Shadow's characterization.

To elaborate in my answer, the arc has a cool idea but the way it goes around it is completely ass backwards and requires to give the characters flaws they don't have anymore or flaws they never have just for it to work, among other stuff.

The first arc was an introduction and Sonic Heroes 2.0, nothing offensive but nothing amazing either, Neo Metal is better here than in heroes though.

Yeah, I like Neo Metal Sonic too.

The doom and gloom vibe of IDW happening way too soon is throwing me off. If this happened as a continuation Pre-Genesis wave, I would've enjoyed it a lot more as a story.

But IDW is relying on the Games as it's origin and the games aren't consistent when it comes to giving character development.

Shadow to this day has the best character development in the games while Sonic had amazing characterization in the Storybook games.

The rest of the cast don't have that. Whisper got emotionally attached to Tangle too quickly. I felt sorry for Bunnie more than Whisper. Bunnie and Antoine has 200 issues of good times and bad times leading up to it and the pay off for that emotional moment... worked.

The IDW's "fresh start" is iffy.

Though, the Deadly Six are pretty weak, as they need to be hooked up to a Chaos Emerald to be a threat now.
Actually that's not the case, they're still strong in their own they're just using the emeralds to amplify their strength to make them an even *bigger* threat than they already were.

Good. I did and I liked it. I don't know the Deadly Six that much (I didn't play Sonic Lost World), but it looks like they're going to be good villains here, I think, and this part two of the arc was entertaining to me. The next issue will be a pack full of action. I wonder how the villains will use the already infected protagonists, like Shadow and the rest of the Chaotix (and Big the Cat, I liked that cameo, I hope he has a major appearance some time later in the series).

I'm hoping for action scenes. We haven't really had any since... Sonic vs the Skunks?
