Something weird about Flash that i dont understand that stuck in my mind

How the hell Flash alway has trouble and difficulty fighting against Captain Cold? isn't cap only human? and Flash supposed to be like more than millions time faster than light,this cant be PIS because they fought constantly in all comics again and again since there were create and their fights was like this all the time so how this is possible?

It's for plot reasons mainly, given that there wouldn't be much of a story if Flash was just allowed to blitz all of his foes.

In addition, Flash generally holds back in many stories to avoid damaging his surroundings, as while the Speed Force protects himself and anyone he touches from friction and air resistance, it doesn't protect the environment. As a result, he's depicted as turning the ground beneath his feet into molten sludge on multiple occasions when he runs at top speed.

Pretty sure that means Captain Cold's combat speed and reactions scale from the Flash's speed, unless Captain Cold has difficulty fighting many enemies slower than the Flash. I don't think Captain Cold has a page, though.

Still this is way too ridiculous that flash slow himself down to the point human being can fight and recat him i mean come on

Well, if DC Comics can have a gorilla with MFTL+ combat speed so he could fight the Flash, it wouldn't be hard to imagine them giving MFTL+ combat speed to Captain Cold.

Man i dont know is still sound wierd to me that he(captain cold) MFTL i mean he never claim to be that fast.


By the way i think i heard in the past that Flash's fists hit as hard as start so shouldnt that make that gorilla start level Durabillty since he surive his fists?

Well iirc Captain Cold's gun emmits a cold field like an AoE that slows down speedsters.

@Ryop: You're thinking if the IMP (infinite mass punch). Flash doesn't normally hit that hard. It's like his super attack.

Actually, If you stop to think about it, shouldn't his page say something like: "Unknow, Star Level with Infinite Mass Punch", or else, someone who is not familiar with the character may think that he is Star Level casually.
