Some resistance for Ichigo?

After reading some old chapters of Bleach, I found some interesting feats for Ichigo.

First, Ichigo is shown able to broke free from the binding technique or Bakudo.

  • He's able to break Rukia's kido even whe he's still a human.
  • He also break free from high level kido from Tessai.
  • He doing it again during the vizard training.
So..Some resistance to Binding/Status Effect? The first scan is show us that is Ichigo himself who is break free from Rukia's Kido and that before he awaken his shinigami power.

Second, The Quincies cannot take his bankai thanks to his mixed heritage.

  • Some random arrancar try to steal his bankai and failed.
  • And Quilge Opie also try and failed to steal his bankai.
And since bankai is one of the main power in Bleach (especially Soul Reaper of course) I suppose it's a resistance to Power Steal? He's the only one who is able to resist the bankai stealing power from quincy while the other captain level shinigami got their bankai stolen.

Third, Ichigo is also somewhat resist his hollow side's influence.

  • He's able to break free from His Hollow's control during his fight with Byakuya.
  • Shinji even explained that he will slowly be devoured by his inner Hollow until he loses his mind.
  • And he's been resisting his hollow side ever since his fight with Byakuya.
  • He still resist his hollow side even when he's fighting Yammy.
So very limited Mental to Possession Resistance? Noted that Ichigo did resist his hollow side better than the vizard as they can't control their hollow side the moment they become Hollowfied during the flashback arc.

So I propose some kind (if limited) resistance to Binding, Power Steal and Mind/Possession for Ichigo.

Please discuss and kindly let me know if I missed something.

Code:
Resistance to poison also, he resisted the poison of Askin without help of the orihime and Yoruichi was surprised by this.

Looks good.

I think instead of resistance to status effect inducement, profiles should have it more specified. Example: Just because you have resistance to poison doesn't mean you have resistance to stat reduction or petrification (I'm just putting this out there because I've seen it on profiles, it doesn't really have to do with Ichigo)

I am personally fine with adding resistance to power stealing and possession, but you should preferably ask Soldier Blue to comment here.

@Kazuik, I'm not sure about the resistance to poison because that feat is too vague.

@YungManzi, Yeah, Ichigo should only resist Binding/Paralysis Status only if it's accepted.

@Antvasima, I've already asked him to comment here.

Wasn't the only reason they couldn't steal his Bankai was because it wasn't his true Bankai?

now that i think about it, isnt the fact that Ichigo has some hollow in him that they were not able to steal his Bankai

What the above said. Plus, if his mixed heritage is the main factor in his Bankai not being able to be stolen, then isnt that just a weakness or limitation of the power stealing?

It would be like saying Haku, all Uchiua, Uzumaki, Hyuga, Nara, and members of a clan in Naruto get resistance to Power Mimicry because Kakashi's Sharingan can't copy their jutsus due to them being given only via blood heritage.

So I disagree with resistance to power stealing.

I also disagree with resistance to power stealing for that reason.

Yeah. Seems like a limitation of the power steal from here.

Ah okay, if you guys disagree with resistance to power stealing that's fine, and fair.

What about the rest though?

Well, if Soldier Blue does not reply, I suppose that resistance to power stealing and possession should be fairly uncontroversial to add.

Okay. Thanks. Should we close this thread then?
