I'm not sure about the last part, as that could also just be the Dreambeats having finally traveled said distance after Mario entered the Dream World

That said, a full-on resistance has to go. They were clearly affected by it to some degree at least
hella disagree on that dreambeat shit
yeah, but like-

so?

anyone else who isn't Starlow, Dreambert, Antasma, and Bowser (covering his "ears") falls asleep immediately, yet Mario can still endure it. Luigi couldn't even open his eyes despite the incessant shouting and nudging from Starlow

so like-

bro
except he doesn't. most that implies is drowsiness, unlike the others who collapse onto the ground after a few seconds of exposure, which is a heavy indicator that they're actually sleeping. Mario doesn't collapse like them, so he ain't schleep

none of them even sleep standing up
meh limited is probably fine.

He was only able to fully wake up due to Starlow waking him up, but he wasn't fully asleep either.

Mario is clearly fighting the sleep manipulation by bobbing his head back and forth, so he's not fully asleep, aka he's drowsy.
This also seems fair. I think limited resistance for Mario based on the logic that he seems to be more easily broken out of the effect is fine. Honestly I would be surprised if there isn't a feat for proper sleep resistance in any of the games.
Limited sleep resistance makes sense
Limited resistance is fine if that's what most people agree with.
Agree with removing 71 layers, and with changing sleep resistance to limited.
@Mad_Dog_of_Fujiwara Almost everyone here is fine with a "limited" or "minor" resistance, even you. I insist on just changing it to that.

I don't actually agree with a limited resistance, I just recognized that most people were okay with it.
In any case, yeah ig it's fine so long as we specifically mention that he needs someone else to break him out of the effects and can't do it himself.

Fine by me; I just don't see the need to remove it completely.

Maybe the layering is affected by possible changes to how layers work but rn, power stars can counter a seal of X stars but fail on a seal of X+1 stars, isn’t that a layer.

Am I misreading this because I myself am sleep deprived, or doesn't this post still imply that Mario doesn't have resistance to Sleep Manipulation because he still requires outside influences to keep him awake?

I thought we were supposed to be getting rid of the power null to begin with since the stars aren't even what remove it. Bowser just drops the spatial manip himself lol

This is only provably the case with the endless staircase though, so no it shouldn't be entirely removed

I can see 50 layers given that that's the next highest star requirement to open a special door, and we know from earlier in the game that each star provides a layer via the likes of 2 stars being able to open a 2 star door but not a 3 star one
