SNK Games Discussion Thread

@Jamesthetaker the KOF15 site says on Rugal he was brought to life before being stopped by the fighters, that must mean he died in the explosion while weakened and injured, although his body tanked that still

Okay, so the description implies that Rugal basically died from the explosion which means he won't scale to the 8-A calc at all.

Yeah but that happened to a bleeding and beaten Rugal, not one in peak shape, its not really fair to compare them

That should put to rest him escaping away like the rest although and that his body survived the explosion instead of being blown apart like in 95 when he used too much Orochi power

I don't think we can assume a normal and healthy Rugal would be able to survive the explosion either. The fact that Rugal believes the explosion will kill the heroes who are in better shape than him makes it unlikely that they will scale to something that can easily kill them.

Not to mention, I believe the real issue is the feat's consistency because it is the only 8-A feat we currently have. If early KOF had consistent Tier 8 feats, it would be easier to argue in its favor, but 94-95 lacks AP feats to back it up. The closest one we have is Chang's 9-A calc, which is a 1000x difference from 8-A. So Rugal's cases are most likely to fall under being an outlier.
 
From kof15 i also looked at Vice and Mature quotes if they win or lose to some characters, Chris says to Vice this if he wins

"Ouch. Your power's on par with Yashiro's. He's still stronger, though"

For future reference or so if it helps you regarding scaling

So tier 0 for the cast in Orochi Saga when 🗿
 
You know i just realized, outside AP/dura, anything about speed for kof was found? And if not i assume superhuman speed is handed to them?

I'm assuming you mean 94 and 95, right?

We have some characters who can move fast enough to leave afterimages, which I believe ranges from Superhuman to Subsonic speeds.

The most notable feat would be Choi spinning fast enough to create a tornado, which would require tangential wind speeds ranging from 125 to 160 m/s (Subsonic).

Ah ok, although the rating with Orochi light needs some back up, let alone something else to replace it, cuz the feat for relativistic speed is via gameplay blocking
 


Orochi as far as we know got sealed in 14 and while in 15 they still show him sealed up, yet Krizalid and Igniz arent even mentioned or shown anywhere after knowing they were inside Verse afterwards by anyone

I wonder if SNK will still update kof15 after Vice and Mature, especially the boss mode, Rugal and Goenitz being the only ones available there feels empty
