I feel like they should be SubSonic due to the fact that Squidward and SpongeBob and Patrick threw snowballs at speeds to emulate a veritable blizzard.

That scene relied heavily on afterimages, (if memory serves right) which are difficult to measure.

I'm sure someone could calc it, though. Definitely not me; I only know meteor calcs.
