Shunsui - Bankai (Dangyo's Abyss)

This is from here and I decided to post, I made some 'adjustments', rate for me. Thank you.

So, what we have here is one nearly straight forword feat, which Is refreshing for a change.

We are talking about Shunsui's Dangyo's Abyss Bankai phase or whatever, where he basically surrounds them with water, lots of water.

As seen in the following scans, the body of water summand at least covers the city where they battle and should be at least the high as the clouds seeing as Lille couldn't get out of it (by swimming up) despite his best efforts.

[1]

Since we can see that there are no clouds around the spirit kings palace, we will use the spirit kings castle height for it.

[2]

So lets start with the low end

Spirit kings palace: 59787.23 meters (383 pixels)

Total height (blue line): 67977.26 meters (436 pixels)

According to Gallavant's calc, the size of each city is 44801.42 meters across, so onto the fun part:

Volume of cylinder:

(r*r*pie*h=V)

(22400.72*22400*3.14*67977.26) = 1.07161178989e+14 m┬│

Density of water= 1000 kg

Density*volume=mass

(1000*1.07161178989e+14) = 1.07161178989e+17 kg

Now from here we can only go one way, rationally. We could say that he created the water (abusing E=mc^2) but then it would be so far into outlier territory that it wouldn't even be funny, so instead we are going to assume the he gathered molecules of water in the air and brought them back to liquid form, essentially reversing vaporization process, and as such would require the same amount of energy as vaporization, because, you know, physics.

So vaporization value for water is 2615810 joule per kilogram of water, and before you ask that's what they use at OBD.

So the total amount of energy is:

(1.07161178989e+17 * 2615810)= 2.6959714e+23 J

As for the high end well, what we will do is assume that since Shunsui's bankai's effects reached characters that weren't even remotely close to the battle field (ichigo, askinn, chad etc), Dangyo's abyss will cover that distance as well.

[3][4]

And so,to give that distance numerical form we would use the value for the size of the royal realm, which is 177407.08 meters, so:

Volume:

(88703.54 * 88703.54 * 3.14 * 67977.26)= 1.68033e+15 m┬│

Density*Volume = Mass

(1000*1.68033e+15)= 1.68033e+18

Energy:

(1.68033e+18 * 2615810)= 4.3954240173e+24 J

That's about it.

Not an illusion, but I don't understand what's being calculated here.Is it the water dome created from reality warping? it isn't exactly quantifiable since it's larger then the bankai area of effect.

This doesn't really seem quantifable, especiallly since it gets bigger as stated by Lille whenever he tried to reach the surface.
Yes, that's why I put the height of the palace. As it is quoted in the calculation itself, if it were to use (E = MC ^ 2) the result would be much larger. It's just that after Shunsui finishes the act, you can see the water evaporating.

Ichigo and Askin where in the middle of the cities where the giant castle is located. Can you use that distance? Shunsui said he went back to where they all appeared with the gate, so everyone was far away for him to used Bankai.

Ichigo and Askin weren't in the middle to our understanding. Gerard was closer to the center at the castle and Askin could view him from afar. Plus, Yoruichi and Urahara fighting Askin were shown to be somewhere between the cities and the center. It would be hard to calc that.

> Ichigo and Askin sense Shunsui's Bankai.

> Askin was seeing Gerard & Ichigo was on the ground.

> Ichigo gets up and goes after Yhwach but finds Uryu.

> Yoruichi stays with Askin to fight him.

> The wall falls and doesn't hit Askin who is lying on the ground after weakening Yoruichi off screen.

Askin and Ichigo are in the middle city near the castle.

In the first calculation appeared only one city, in the same sense that Shunsui and Lille were, in 2 they used the size of everything. The question is which is the height that should be used, in the case was considered the size of the Palace because there no were clouds around it

The low end. @IMadeThisOn8-1-2017 makes sense and a mid end from the castle can't be used. High is unlikely as it assume everyone felt it when only Ichigo and Askin did from an unknown location.
