There's temporal directions and then space-time continuums. A temporal direction is just the direction in which time flows, which is generally backwards-fowards. To quote the FAQeither of you confirm the experience of time being different on a 5-D level would suggest there being 2 dimensions of time?
This looks like the temporal direction is the same, as it's experience things ins a backwards-forwards direction. It's just on a higher spatial plane that embedds lower dimensional objects.Outside of explanations which state that multiple time dimensions exist it is difficult to show that a work of fiction has more than one. The key point that has to be established is that there is a kind of time that flows in a different direction than the past or the future or any of the spatial directions.
Things like timelines having time that passes at different rates would not qualify, as even the theory of general relativity already establishes that with just one regular time dimension time can flow at different rates in different places. Time flowing backwards in another universe would also not qualify it to have an additional time dimension, as it would still use the same directions of past and future as regular time, just with events playing out in reverse. For the same reasons, statements about independent time streams or of separate kinds of time, which could flow parallel to the original time, would not qualify.
Neither would dimensions that are timeless voids or are described as beyond spacetime in general qualify. Unless they contradict themselves, these realms should not have a time dimension at all, with change in them happening according to other principles. If they, on the other hand, do contradict themselves, the statement of them not having regular time would inherently not be reliable, making the idea equally unusable.
uh in that scan he was perceiving that place before and came back to the normal world so that was his experience, he felt time being divided in past, present and future is nonsensical in comparison to that place. There is only this much context from the story currently on this place for now.
He's saying that the separation of those elements are strange, because he was used to them being the same thing from how I read. Meaning that he's still viewing them in the same direction, just in a non-linear fashion. Which isn't enough for a second temporal direction.uh in that scan he was perceiving that place before and came back to the normal world so that was his experience, he felt time being divided in past, present and future is nonsensical in comparison to that place.
If you can, try to post the entire passage. Maybe that can shed more clarity.uh in that scan he was perceiving that place before and came back to the normal world so that was his experience, he felt time being divided in past, present and future is nonsensical in comparison to that place. Idk if this helps much but still here it is,If you can, try to post the entire passage. Maybe that can shed more clarity.
It was difficult... delving into the meaning of the String of Fate was not like reading a book. A gargantuan torrent of information was pouring into Sunny's strained mind, and he could only absorb a few drops of that crushing flood here and there.
He did not immediately see another detailed vision of the past like the first two. Instead, what he saw were glimpses of various scenes, all jumbled and mixed together. The Night Garden sailing on a misty sea... the Night Garden battling a storm so fierce that entire realms could have been washed away by it... the Night Garden moving across the great black void between the stars...
And being moored on a titanic peer of a beautiful, awe-inspiring city built among the stars.
That last glimpse seemed especially significant, somehow.
Even consumed by the strain of staring at fate, Sunny could not help but feel a hint of bewildered amusement.
'Is Night Garden... a space ship, then?'
He spent a split second — which felt like an eternity — considering that fact.
And then...
Wham!
Sunny fell from the chair and slammed his head against the floor.
Pulled away from his bewitched state, he belatedly retracted his hand and deactivated [Where is my eye]?
The world... felt strange.
The world felt too small, claustrophobic, and two-dimensional.
Time was most bizarre, somehow separated into three distinct states.
The past, the present, and the future...
The inexplicable division seemed nonsensical.
"Ouch."
Laying on the floor, Sunny sensed the shadow of Jet move above him. He realized that she had struck him, overturning his chair and throwing him to the floor.
"Why did you hit me?"
Jet let out a bewildered laugh.
"Gods. Have you seen yourself?"
Sunny did not, in fact, see himself.
'What?'
Actually, he could not see anything at all.
Jet fell heavily on her sofa.
"For your information, there was smoke rising from beneath your mask. And the smell..."
btw what kind of feat/statement could imply an additional temporal direction?Like I said, there's no second direction there. It's just viewing one direction in a different capacity, which isn't a hypertimeline feat.
This is probably the clearest example I know of. Well that or DC'S hypertimebtw what kind of feat/statement could imply an additional temporal direction?
yeah idk if there is as clear statement as that, only thing close to it ik in story is this although it was like a pocket dimension and was most likely not universal in size but dunno if this can help. This is probably the clearest example I know of. Well that or DC'S hypertime
Ermm..... No. This would lead to the worlds greatest outliers since a whole arc took place here while they were only Ascended. At the very least, it's a blatant immeasurable speed feat if they can combat while in the middle of this state.
It being an outlier is an entirely different thing. But the feat is indeed immeasurable imoErmm..... No. This would lead to the worlds greatest outliers since a whole arc took place here while they were only Ascended.
There's different space-times, but all the times seemingly follow the same direction. It would only need one temporal direction.yeah idk if there is as clear statement as that, only thing close to it ik in story is this although it was like a pocket dimension and was most likely not universal in size but dunno if this can help
Iirc if a realm gets immeasurable speed to anyone in it, its treated as a characteristic for that space rather than for that character. They would have to demonstrate that speed in the lower universes. At the very least, it's a blatant immeasurable speed feat if they can combat while in the middle of this state.
I meant if someone fought against a character that resides in that space. There's different space-times, but all the times seemingly follow the same direction. It would only need one temporal direction.

What about the character who created this place? As I mentioned above it is a pocket dimension and a character created it. So would they get immeasurable speed?I meant if someone fought against a character that resides in that space.
Creating a space isn't the same as traversing that space. They'd only be Immeasurable if they displayed that speed. What about the character who created this place? As I mentioned above it is a pocket dimension and a character created it. So would they get immeasurable speed?
I think this CRT can be closed as the grace period for it have also ended?Creating a space isn't the same as traversing that space. They'd only be Immeasurable if they displayed that speed.
