What is "death" by SBA?

The reason I'm asking is because there's a character who has passives but their conditional only upon "death."

A character's body can be completely obliterated on the physical plane and they'll be subjected to this characters hax

Their body can remain. Die of natural causes, and they'd still be subjected to his hax.

Basically upon whatever is considered "death." He BFRs the soul to his realm for torment. While being bfred your subjected to law based soul and mind manipulation, but they only activate upon death of a character

It's spiritual bfr upon death in simplistic terms.

So my question; what is considered "death" by SBA? This is particularly relevant for characters with godly regens. How would this hax interact with them?

Death is fundamentally a physical change (biological realistically) so if a character with Low-Godly regen gets their body completely erased, they can be considered dead as only their mind and soul remains.

That's what I was thinking too but I don't see any clarity as stated

If you blow Kid Buu to lil specks, his ass ain't dead, he's still alive, just apart.
If you EE Ganon's body and turn him into a disembodied soul, he's "dead" in a biological sense but like, not really, he can act as a soul and come back from it just fine too, even form a new body, his body is gone but he isnt out of the fight or dead in a way that matters to him no is it even slightly permanent.

Dead in the context of a match is relative to who it is. The character has to die in a way where theyre functionally dead too, or at least incapped long enough.

But that isnt what youre asking, how VSBW treats death doesnt matter here, it's what "death" constitutes in the context of the ability in question. If it's bodily death, or mental, spiritual? It just depends on how it specifically would function, which cant say without more details.
