The world of solo leveling is divided into two fronts.
One being existence/being which grants life, which shows life and existence are one and the same.the other being nothingness which is shown as darkness/ death.Everything being born under these 2 foundational forces which are polar opposites.
The world tree is the fundamental principle of existence and the pale shadow as nothingness.
As shown with the world tree the two forces of life and death have also been shown to be soul(which defines a characters identity )and not soul(despite being the oppisde side of the world tree the pale shadow is not the world tree)
Death worlds are the negation of existence and vice versa as existence changes deathly nothingness into existence and must returns back to that state of nothingness via losing its propety of existence.
These 2 worlds are divided upon light and darkness , which is life and death.two states/propeties which should never coexist
