Amaterasu will vaporise the sand and Gaara in under a second. He also can't react to it. And Genjutsu is overkill, along with Chidori just piercing him and paralyzing him

Bold of u to assume Chidori would work. Sasuke's AP with the Chidori is High 7-A, while WA Gaara's sand is considered High 7-A+.

I mean, it's not really a stomp with the current stats, just a decisive victory. But as usual, WA characters are underrated. Gaara should really be Relativistic.

Sasuke was not only fighting Gaara, but against the 5 Kages. Considering 1v1 and Bloodlust, Sasuke can focus on him with other options like Kirin and Genjutsu, plus other forms of Susano'o available.

Well somewhat different for sure. Sasuke and Gaara are both much stronger than they were at this point. Sasuke obtained the Armored Susanoo/got hatred amped and Gaara got fighting amps.
In that specific scene, he was only fighting Gaara.

Sasuke is more versatile, and he is intelligent enough to come up with a strategy against Gaara. In a desert, Gaara would have enough of an advantage to defeat Sasuke quickly. So, it depends on how much advantage Gaara has.
Can someone clarify whether that stadium is full of sand? If it is, I am leaning towards Gaara. But if it isn't, I think Sasuke would win.

War-arc Gaara was able to keep up with Gengetsu who was the rival of Muu, who as a weakened edo was on par with Onoki.
Seeing as Onoki effectively no-diffed a weakened FKS Sasuke then Gaara should realistically scale above Sasuke even taking the hatred amp against Danzo into consideration.
Sasuke's abundance of hax does even the playingfield somewhat but there's no real way he wins this aside from a Genjutsu argument and maybe Indra's arrow could play a part. But unless Sasuke has some extremely potent win-condition then Gaara should take this, a drawn out battle would favor him as Sasuke still isn't completely comfortable using his Susano'o for long stretches.
I'd say Gaara takes this 8 out of 10 times.

Basically what i meant is that since Muu was on part with Onoki even as an edo, then Gaara scaling to edo-Gengentsu should put him around Ohnoki level at the very least. Who at this point should be stronger than FKS Sasuke.
Sasuke's eye stinging is fair to bring up although i don't think there was any real implication of Sasuke being on Ohnoki's level.
It depends on how much of a power increase you want to credit the Danzo fight with i'd say.
Yeah the Susano'o arrow correct (I swear the Naruto wiki calls it Indra's arrow? Ehh it's not that deep lmao)
I completely forgot he took part in the 8th gates Guy fight, yeah with that feat i agree he probably wins 9.9/10 times.

I don't think Gaara scales to Gengetsu, though. Gengetsu was helping everyone. And Gengetsu can turn to water and is much more versatile than Gaara.
And I would say the same for Onoki. I don't think Gaara is on their level.
But I do think Gaara has a chance here. I would still like someone to clarify whether that stadium is full of sand.

Tbf, I don't think that version of Gaara DIRECTLY scales to Edo Gengetsu. He was definitely weaker and had help from Ohnoki and his gold dust was a specific counter to Steam Imp.
I believe DF Sasuke would beat FKS Ohnoki but lose to WA Ohnoki.

Gengetsu helped a great deal at the start but he got progressively more serious as the war started dragging on, to the point where he stopped holding back even if he wasn't bloodlusted.
As for the fight against Gengetsu then Gaara ended up doing a pretty significant amount of the work by himself as Onoki was taken out of comission temporarily.
Even while facing a more serious Gengetsu, he could still keep up while protecting the alliance at the same time.
Gaara wasn't outperforming Gengetsu by any means but there wasn't anything indicating that he was outclassed or anything less than relative at this point.
(Although i do agree that he probably doesn't scale 1-for-1 with Gengetsu or Onoki even now)
