Not necessarily true because something very similar bumped my pressure points and I had all kinds of symptoms from it.

It can happen to anyone. Something that is 10-C can feel like a 10-A attack in certain circumstances.

That can be dependent on which pressure point because some are more susceptible than others, with Madotsuki's experience potentially backing this up. And unless Garou is just an idiot despite his prodigy and martials art training, he'd be aiming for ones that are likely the most susceptible or even usually fatal.
