Oh boy is it RWBY lore dumping time!
So with the newly released volume 9, we uncovered the full origins of the two brothers who serve as the respective ‘Gods’ of the RWBY verse. And of course, new abilities and ratings are to follow.
- Limited type 4 immortality: As with the rest of the inhabitants of the Ever After, the two brothers should receive type 4 immortality thanks to the tree’s ascension. However, this ability only applies while in the Ever After, hence why it is limited.
- Plant Manipulation & Life Manipulation: As is shown in this clip here, The two brothers gained the power to bestow upon life into the Ever After.
- Subjective Reality: The power they use for creation in the Ever After is specifically said to derive off their imagination and creativity.. With them being said to “be given creative, so they could imagine what and who could replace the wilderness.”
- Physics Manipulation & Spatial Manipulation: The two brothers were also given the power to shape the very landscapes and create Acres for the Ever After. With each Acre having different physics and even different atmospheres from one another. And each of them differentiating in size by an extreme margin.
So, with the release of these new origins coming out, a potentially new and very big AP upgrade may be in store for the two brothers as well.
- Possibly High 3-A AP Upgrade:
This information comes from I believe one of the artists/animators who were working on the production of volume 9. In it, they state that each Arc (which were created by the two brother’s powers) has the potential to be infinite in size. As the physics in the world of the Ever After have been shown to wildly vary across each area, this is not a totally unreasonable claim to be made. So, the fact that the two brothers were said to have created these possibly infinite sized arcs, and were shown to have been the ones to have cleared the plains of the Ever After, which is possibly infinite in size itself, should mean this power should scale to their AP as well.
Even without that, it’s shown that the acres separated from one another have different skies. With things such as a starry night sky in one acre, while in other locations such as the ones taken to during Punderstorms, it’s just an empty void with distorted physics.
Due to the source and nature of the infinite sized acres statement, the two brothers should receive a solid 4-A rating with a possibly High 3-A as a listed option.
