Rule Violation Reports (New forum)

I noticed a considerable pattern from @JoshDoshMosh who often expresses how much he hates Godzilla fans. While hating the fandom in itself isn't a violation as it's typical. They way he publicly expresses it is often unnecessary. Comments like this and this come off as unreasonable rude. A minor note but unsure if the word itself violates Fandom TOS, but there is an H word here. I know it's not one of the words Timmy Quivy listed, and it's okay when referring to the farming tool, but when used to describe women, it's basically the same as the W word that is widely considered a sexist slur.

I do not think anything he said warrants a ban, but I did leave him a warning on his most recent comment. And at worst, I think no punishment is needed and my warning is fine for now. But I may consider a short thread ban (Not forum ban as I do not know him saying anything bad on other threads). But worst thing he consistently said is some provocative spite towards Godzilla/Goji fans from time to time.

Edit: I think TotalMasterInfinity getting banned for 2 weeks is reasonable.

well, read his comment. i agree that it is harsh, but not at the rule violation level to even get a warning, so the best course for now is someone telling him to calm down and tone down his comment, since his comment is harsh and somewhat provocative, which can cause potential friction

This seems pretty minor to me as well. I see dismissal of the other person's comment (rude but not a rule violation), calling an opinion BS (this is rude, and we shouldn't swear here, but BS isn't even strictly swearing and if taken as such is pretty minor swearing), and finally I see aggressive behaviour towards the other person. For that we should just tell them to calm down.

I say we ask them to calm down, no need for anything else.
 
I was completely missed out MonkeyOfLife, it was pretty late at night when i see the report so i can only judge RoyGundam comment, my mistake

So yeah both Roy and Monkey should be told to tone down, though it seem like KingTempest already handled it

I have removed the offending comments and the comments directly quoting the matter. Everyone deserves a right to feel comfortable in this space, and Jinx evidently does not.

@Arceus0x I can assume you were likely only making the comment with the intent of it being a light-hearted jab at the point of discussion. This isn't wrong in itself, but I would advise you speak with more sensitivity to the content of your words in the future. If you can uphold this, I think we can leave it at that.

These two uhhh gentlemen have been arguing non-stop for EVERY THREAD THEY PARTICIPATE IN. They've basically made every thread with the two of them pointless to participate in because it's almost guaranteed to become a shitshow.

Yes I made a joke about them because they've been bickering non-stop like a couple halfway through divorce proceedings. The point was to make the entire argument feel awkward so they'd stop but ig you can't stop people from ruining things for people same way you can't stop a wave from crashing on a beach.

The only thing I'll apologize for is for you and Ant having to bother yourself with this.
 
Sadly i need to see what Pazdera is saying about the verse. I'd love if i could block him for the sake of it, but with how many times he is going behind the back and spamming these huge profiles/CRTs that dont follow a format (and have prior gone against what we consider), i want to be kept in a loop on what hes saying for the sake of the verse. Otherwise it feels like people leave him to his own devices, and that does admittedly frustrate me.

Please dont make weird implicatory jokes about me (about someone who i do not want to be associated with for infamous reasons regardless) to try and purposefully make me feel awkward.
Its different if its between friends and you understand the humour but i don't know you and dont appreciate it. If anything, it stirs the pot more than inclining me to feel awkward enough to stop

I cannot stick around for too long since I have to go to work soon, but Sean has been permabanned in the past for a lot of drama he caused as well as his scaling takes often tend to be questionable to the point where it's hard to take him seriously without interpreting them as being trolling and/or agenda scaling. Not all of them of course, but I also do think Arceus is correct above. But if his next argument is that "Legends ZA is non-canon because he hates that game," yeah, I cannot agree with that. He also literally tried to say Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom are non-canon to Zelda just because he takes some updated timeline chart out of context + he self admittedly hates the games. He also has a habit of questioning things that are too blatant while attempting to abuse some infamous practices known as reverse power scaling and loophole scaling for others.

While the things I have seen isn't something I'd ban for, others are welcome to mention others. If he is hurling insults at people who disagree with him that Jinx mentioned, that be a different story. But I do at the very least empathize that he is the type of person that is very problematic person to debate with.

Stop arguing about the content of CRTs/profiles here, all of you. That includes @StrymULTRA, @Jinx666, @Arceus0x, and @Super_Ascended_Sean_Pazdera. That is completely irrelevant to any report happening.

I've deleted and edited posts to cut out the irrelevant discussion from the last couple of posts.

I will delete any further posts that don't have to do with [accusing people of/refuting accusations of] rule violations.

Arceus is the person who made the offending post. They've said they won't make such comments with Jinx again. You don't need to tell them not to make it at that point; they have already been told that, and acknowledged it as a good idea.

You do not need to lecture Sean, or Arceus for that matter, about the topic any longer.

I'm on the verge of deleting the last three posts, and will delete any further posts in the same vein.

To the ppl who just dont want to pick a side, Are we genuinely serious with making Masters EX content on mainline profiles as long as they arent 'contradicted'? So we're just going to have a mix of Mainline profiles that CAN include Masters EX (a minority since regions are interconnected)...

Also while I'm aware @Super_Ascended_Sean_Pazdera can be abrasive and difficult to deal with, the above CRT was still accepted and @Imaginym even explained why but @Jinx666 wouldn't accept it and went on to accuse Sean of altering profiles without an accepted CRT in the Pokémon discussion thread, stating it was only for the creation of alternate profiles using Pokémon Masters as secondary canon and shouldn't affect profiles that are based on primary canon.

Can this be explicitly clarified by a mod who participated in the initial CRT here or in the Pokémon discussion thread, what actually is fair game? (I apologise if you have to repeat yourselves again).
 
Theres not 'malice', Sean has outright went against the outcome of the thread and edited pages to include content that hasn't been discussed. I'll happily call that out (and its not like anyone prior to this discussion had ever engaged with it in the first place, Sean was left to his own devices) EDIT: He's now also admitted to knowing the fact below, and still went ahead with making editing changes.

He did alter the profiles, claiming Masters EX was now 'made canon' when that wasn't what was concluded upon for either of these characters. If Masters EX is truly being made secondary, then there needs to be a check of what content is used before its planted. They're not accusations.

No i dont agree with the outcome (and the outcome is what will lead to more discussions about it in the future as opposed to making separate profiles for Masters EX continuity), and its been left vague since there are actually more votes for making separate profiles compared to the 'do it on a case-by-case analysis' if we look back at the thread. Doesn't mean i dont accept it, but the original basis of the CRT wasn't even accepted in the first place, yet this is how Sean will treat it (and i cant trust he won't be left alone in that).

It seems as if this is an argument continuing, quite heatedly, after the thread got accepted. Secondary canon status seems to have been agreed upon, and Jinx seems to have an issue with how the edits are being handled.

@Jinx666, what specific action or profile change is the issue here? Normally when something gets accepted as secondary canon we'd then start working on specific additions from it. You seem to raise an issue about Sean adding things that weren't discussed. Can you provide a specific example of Sean doing such a thing in the edits that have just been made? Please stick to the facts and keep it succinct so we can understand.

Either way, the issue is the edit war and the ongoing hostility, so will both of you please calm down?

In short:
  • As vague as the conclusion to the thread was, and there still not being more votes in favour, the outcome was that Masters EX content was considered 'Secondary Canon', meaning you can apparently include Masters Ex content through separate keys on mainline AND separate pages, though edits to include content from the game (im assuming just for mainline keys) would have to be "proposed properly in CRTs & evaluated case by case to see if they are acceptable."
  • As it suggests, this means including Masters EX continuity to the profile will have to be evaluated to any profile that Sean wishes to use it for, as the game still has glaring contradictions that don't fit mainline at all. No one was ever in favour of making it completely canon either.
  • Sean ignored this, despite admitting to have read the boldened part, and continued to change the Gloria/Calem to a previous state (tthat includes Masters EX content) that kicked off this entire discussion without consulting anyone or making the changes necessary. Him referring to it as Canon in the edit-reasoning also proves he isn't following how the thread ends,
  • I reverted the edits and called it out on the thread, leading to another spat.
 
From the looks of it, it could be a simple misunderstanding that led to the profile changes. Maybe Sean jumped the gun and blew his shot at the spur of the the moment as opposed to outright ignoring the set conclusion altogether?

From experience, very unlikely. The entire thread he's refused to update OP (unless it was to list a supporter, making it seem as if they were agreeing with making Masters EX fullblown canon), and hes tried getting the thread closed multiple times when it wasn't steering in his favour. Its proof enough he only wanted one outcome to this.

He's also admitted to knowing the boldened fact prior, yet still added the edits

I didnt care enough to report it since its easily fixed and called out, but I already had guessed that Sean wasn't going to follow things properly no matter what inch you give him. I personally think this is also due to the thread lacking a definitive answer since mixing separate keys/profiles for one media type (Masters EX) just...doesn't work organisation-wise
