Ah, my bad for that. My brain auto registered only the "Did you ask the staff?" part.Ritsu was asking hyperguy if he got permission to make the thread staff discussion.not talking to me.

Nah. I was referring to @PHANtomFELdway ’s comment, despite sounding like I was referring to @TheHyperGuy. I saw the conversation about making a Staff Thread in the previous thread but that is also probably my fault for making it sound weird and for not replying to @PHANtomFELdway ‘s comment.Ah, my bad for that. My brain auto registered only the "Did you ask the staff?" part.
I suppose that we can overlook it this time then. And I thought they did a great job of doing so.
Whether or not procedure was followed, I don't think any harm was done exactly.
So I definitely don't think any action here is needed other than to remind people they need permission.
I also think it's probably fine to assume implied permission if a staff member directly asks you a question.
Well, I wouldn't consider it "overlooking" it, so much as deciding that a simple instruction/reminder is all that's needed.I suppose that we can overlook it this time then.![]()
...which reads to me as both him not knowing the rules he's trying to uphold, and this being a way of getting petty revenge. It does come off as spiteful. I would currently abide by a warning to not do that, as well as offering the knowledge that these small changes don't need a CRT, as they are not substantive- they change nothing about the page that we would require a CRT for.You have no thread, you can't make changes, and you say that I'm the one who breaks the rules.
Along with that, I have seen him be on this thread. So he def looked at the thread, just didn't respond lol. He's been on since the ping went out.
Those type of edits are self-evident so grammar corrections are fine without a CRT. If a staff VSBW Message Walls you about it, you can happily sort it out and I'm pretty sure they won't have a problem with it.Do we need CRTs to fix the wording of a specific weakness? Because last year I published a profile but the wording of its weakness seems badly written
Yes. That is is correct. Those type of edits are self-evident so grammar corrections are fine without a CRT. If a staff VSBW Message Walls you about it, you can happily sort it out and I'm pretty sure they won't have a problem with it.
So long as it doesn't change any of the actual substance then no.Do we need CRTs to fix the wording of a specific weakness? Because last year I published a profile but the wording of its weakness seems badly written
hmm, some minutes ago i changedSo long as it doesn't change any of the actual substance then no.
So like:
"Get extra hurt by cold magic." -> "Takes additional damage from cold magic."
But if it changes what's being claimed, it probably needs a CRT, like:
"Get extra hurt by cold magic." -> "Takes additional damage from cold magic and fire magic."
Such a minor CRT would only need a single staff approval, but should probably still be made.
Yes, that seems completely fine to me.hmm, some minutes ago i changed
Regarding the threads, it seems exaggerated to me that you are reporting me, since it doesn't hurt anyone, and besides, if they responded, there wouldn't be so much spam.I'd like to report @ARCH0207 for his constant spamming of bumps on threads and being unnecessarily hostile towards anyone who disagrees with him, even seeming to chase down some of them in other threads like @DaReaperMan . It's really concerning actually.
It seems like I warned them before for this kind of thing.I'd like to report @ARCH0207 for his constant spamming of bumps on threads and being unnecessarily hostile towards anyone who disagrees with him, even seeming to chase down some of them in other threads like @DaReaperMan . It's really concerning actually.
It's okay broNevermind, apparently the argument continued elsewhere.
They were also reported earlier for spite edits and before that for harassing Bambu.
At this point the cumulative behavior is quite troubling, I'd say, and probably deserving at least a short ban as opposed to yet another warning.
Well, it's not okay if you regularly bother people and/or turn otherwise civil discussions into hostile arguments. It's okay bro
Ok broWell, it's not okay if you regularly bother people and/or turn otherwise civil discussions into hostile arguments.
Also, while I'm here, and since you seem to invoke my name a lot: DaReaperMan is correct in that I do not have the right to approve or reject calculations, only how the final value is applied to profiles.
Calc Group Membership is a separate position that's not inherent to other evaluating staff positions, and I am not a part of it.
Anything I say about the specifics of a calculation should be perceived as a mere opinion without authority like any other normal user.
Instigating drama (be respectful), harassment (be kind), spite edits (vandalism). What rule-violations have they done more specifically?![]()
Sorry to mention this after twenty days but there is a problem here. What exactly is the reason for Astral's unban?I have unblocked Astral_Trinity439 now.
Due to the recurring issue of misleading or dishonest machine-translated (edited-MTL) content within this verse (both WN and LN), particularly when used to support major arguments or upgrades, the use of human-edited MTLs is strictly prohibited unless they are verified by one of the official Translation Helpers (TLs) or a user with proven fluency in Japanese. However, exceptions may be made for human-edited MTLs originating from well-regarded and trusted sources that show no signs of intentional misrepresentation or manipulation, such as Slime Reader. This is to ensure accuracy, consistency, and prevent misinterpretation or manipulation of source material. Any future CRTs or profile changes that use unverified human-edited MTLs will be considered invalid and subject to reversal.
Maybe you like to see this, behind his ban lift?Snip.
So he's getting a ban of some kind, right?Instigating drama (be respectful), harassment (be kind), spite edits (vandalism).
Apparently also plagiarism (under 'explaining statistics').
I agree with Code regarding discussion rule.Maybe you like to see this, behind his ban lift?
Lemme summon the op of that thread. @Reiner04, Reiner might be interested.
Tbh, I would prefer to keep the discussion rule regardless, the entire fiasco with edited mtl with the verse, and the sheer confusion it caused, should be more than enough reason to keep it. This would also make revamping profiles much less of a hassle.I agree with Code regarding discussion rule.
It seems like that's the consensus so far, though now we'd need to decide an actual length. So he's getting a ban of some kind, right?
@DarkDragonMedeusMonth seems fine. Since I made one of the reports I'd prefer one other voice aside from mine on the subject, though. For fairness' sake.
Sounds good to me.Month seems fine. Since I made one of the reports I'd prefer one other voice aside from mine on the subject, though. For fairness' sake.
Hey Agnaa, a few months ago Nakaba Suzuki (Author of Seven Deadly Sins and Four Knights of the Apocalypse) posted another Q&A corner on social medias and I asked him a question about a specific dimension housing starry skies or not.
He answered positively not on his social media but directly in the Q&A corner of his manga.
People been telling me that it can’t be used and that it often contradicts the manga (wog threads) despite Nakaba directly showing numerous starry skies in the dimension
What do you think ?
I think it shouldn't be accepted because you asked a battleboarding-related question to an author.
I don’t really understand why it shouldn’t be can you explain it a bit ?
The question was:
« Baccho sensei it looks like the New Camelot houses a starry sky is it the case »
Answer:
« Yes, some of the worlds contain starry skies and others Endless nights »
The Q&A corner is considered canon and entirely usable normally.
We got multiple starry skies showing after this statement but i wanted to make sure that if i ever got other answers they would be considered valid.
