Basically, this place has a severe troll problem and is thus pretty carefull when it comes to names that might indicate trollish behaviour. Having troll in name might indicate the same, so people might ask you to change it. I personally dont see the harm, the average troll dosnt use troll in his name in the first place.
Or to keep it short, you might have to change your name.

Given that he replaced existing profile images with pornography and Nazi imagery, I have asked Fandom if they think it would be a good idea to prevent non-staff members from uploading new versions of existing images, as this type of vandalism is harder for the staff to take notice of. The regular members will obviously still be able to upload new filenames though.

Well, he wouldn't be able to replace the logo, as it is admin protected, but there are lots of images in lots of pages that are not, and the staff won't notice such replacements by monitoring the recent changes, so I don't see how we have a choice in this case.

Actually, yes, you can notice from the recent changes if you pay attention. If you're so paranoid you can just check the upload log and check out anything suspicious.

Well, I don't remember seeing such changes in the page that I use to monitor the wiki: https://vsbattles.fandom.com/wiki/Special:RecentChanges?hidepatrolled=1&limit=4000
I also don't have the time to monitor the upload log as well.
Anyway, would this restriction really be such a big deal? Regular members would still be free to upload images with new names, just not to replace old ones.

If you truly feel like this is necessary then make a separate thread regarding that then. Something like that should not be decided offhandly in the wrong thread (not to mention that it derails)
