Edit: The following is for the novel: Realizing This Is A Wuxia World After Cultivating For 300 Years.
The verse has realm suppression; a higher realm suppressing a lower realm to make the target powerless, for example through their aura (Chapter 53). Later a higher realm than the previous scan suppressed a lower realm without even fully releasing their actual realm and it is explicitly indicated that this suppression operates through realms once more and regardless of how many there are of the lower realm cultivators or what methods, techniques or treasures they use, they can't overcome this (Chapter 289).
It also applies to within a realm, as the first scan is a Xiantian suppressing someone below them (Xiantian = 10th level) in the same realm but a lower level. Additionally in the Nascent Soul (here is a visual representation of its divisions), the MC released pressure against an opponent that was in the Nascent Soul realm. However, due to the MC's misjudgement, assuming the opponent was of a middle Nascent Soul level, the applied pressure, intended only to be just a greater pressure, inadvertently led to the destruction of the soul of the Nascent Soul individual who did not belong to the middle tier as assumed (Chapter 341).
So when the level and realm isn't great, it is simply powernull + paralysis + body control + soul manipulation. However, when the realm and level difference is too great it result in direct soul destruction.
As for exact layers it should be 4 for every realm. Starting from the Profound Gate (9th level) which goes up to the 12th level. The next realms following realms are divided into 4 level each.
A cultivator regens from their core. What that 'core' is changes with cultivation but their indestructible nature does not. It makes them unkillable to people of the same realm and by 'unkillable' I am referring to their immortal essence because their body and soul can be destroyed.
A Golden Core cultivator's 'core' is indestructible, eternal and cannot be erased (Chapter 178). This is negated by the next cultivation realm, the Nascent Soul realm (Chapter 178). The Nascent Soul realm gain an indestructible true spirit (Chapter 186), however unlike before it isn't the next cultivation realm that negates this but the one after that (Chapter 556). The Soul Formation gain one too, it is also indestructible but this time it can't be restrained nor imprisoned (Chapter 374).
The last cultivation realm also has another benefit. Mind manipulation in the verse happens through the soul. MC used soul search on someone to look at their memories and their indestructible, unrestrainable, etc, nature also extends to soul search which the MC can negate (Chapter 586) and even the state of existence of such an individual with "tens of millions" of souls couldn't stop him from searching all of those souls.
At the peak Soul Formation stage, the immortal essence now extends to MC's body and unless his reality is destroyed or its laws are changed to specifically erase him, he will forever exist.
So only 3 layers total.
This also seems to be based on realm differences. They can scan someone with their gaze (Chapter 111) and later the difference in cultivation level was referenced in regards to seeing through someone (Chapter 288). This is also true to domains under their control as a cultivator who had complete control of their world and nothing could escape their perception didn't apply to someone of a higher cultivation (Chapter 684).
This also extends to the origin of a person. At the Nascent Soul MC could attack someone and his power could also seek out and attack the true self (Chapter 366). Essentially negating Immortality (Type 9). At the Soul Formation realm (next realm) he sensed he was being observed (Chapter 579) and could track down the origin of this power and even alter it with just his will that tracked it down (Chapter 580). The mechanics is basically seeing through the essence and origin of something. MC has many avatars and he says that someone in the same realm as him (Peak Soul Formation) can see through his avatars (Chapter 609). Face to face it is essentially information analysis (Chapter 612).
So if this is accepted the exact layers would be the same 4 levels per realm in my first proposal above.
This one will be short.
The MC who is of a higher realm lowered his realm and descended to a planet to gauge how many individuals could detect their presence. Despite attempts at concealment, those on a comparable level saw through it, while individuals of a lower cultivation realm, typically impossible to sense him, were unexpectedly heightened in perception due to the unique abilities inherent to a higher realm (Chapter 550). Heavily suggesting this is also based on cultivation realm. This again happens, when a higher realm than the concealed can be sensed (Chapter 610).
So 4 levels per realm like above.
I feel like the following seems like it.
Time and causality are intertwined, with the control of one equating to control over the other. MC's control of the timeline is control over causality (781). Another example is someone turning the past into the future and causality is again mentioned (Chapter 787).
The MC is basically in a state before the beginning and after the end of reality. This is due to his 'existence' being the the emptiness before time and after time. Responsible for every iteration of reality and independent of it (Chapter 790). Reality is also part of him (Chapter 781) and yet everything is like an illusion or a dream to him (Chapter 781) which would include our conception of causality.
Edit: Initially MC interacts with time of a single universe but later on the river of time they interact with isn't a singular universe's time but time that encompasses the verse. MC's first interaction with it was seeing a conceptual image of it showing him his place and all the multiverses place in this river (Chapter 692). Even a newly created universe (Chapter 708) is affected by this river of time as MC had to hide it in the river of time (Chapter 708) because people around his level at that time can go through the river of time to see every universe that has existed (Chapter 723).
