What is the deal with layers

I don't understand the different layers.

Are they kind of like what is done with dimensions?

Like some pages say that some real is at least 1 layer into 1-A. So, is this just a way to designate a 1-A realm that is stated to transcend another 1-A realm, or what is the purpose of layers?

I'm just confused because 1-a designates a realm that transcends dimensions and the normal temporal qualities. So, there being layers would suggest a hierarchy in the way 1-A is scaled.

Layers in 1-A are defined by transcending and perceiving 1-A as fiction.
An example is this scan from Marvel Comics, which explains a hierarchy in which a lower layer is transcended and seen as a dream by a higher layer, which in turn is transcended and seen as a dream by a higher layer of the hierarchy.
"Seeing as fiction" in this context is a qualitative/metaphysical transcendence, which includes things like transcending and seeing lower layers as stories within books, illusions, dreams, thoughts, etc, of course, context is needed to prove that "seeing as fiction" in this case refers to a 1-A Transcendence.
I recommend reading this page if you want to know more about it.
Oh, and one thing; "transcending 1-A" in certain cases can be High 1-A if there is evidence that what transcends 1-A operates in an independent and transcendent hierarchy over the hierarchy in which 1-A exists (what we call "Meta-Qualitative Superiority").
