I think I can agree with this. Not entirely familiar with other examples of this power/ability (performed by other characters, I mean), but looking at it, I'd say this fits the bill.

And actually, this falls right in line with Roland's gunslinger training. The very same creed which the gunslingers learn from birth dictates that "he who aims/shoots with his hand has forgotten the face of his father", and when Roland himself is training Eddie and Susannah to become gunslingers themselves, he basically instructs them to fight and aim using their instincts as much as anything else. Or at least that's how I remember it.
