Rick's Intelligence Rating

Shouldn't we upgrade Rick's intelligence rating from "genius" to "supergenius," guys? I mean I know the intelligence-scale on here isn't as well codified as some other stuff, but I think it's important considering that in Rick's case his scientific intellect is his primary ability. Now, consider this:

Characters like Lex Luthor and Iron Man/Tony Stark get the "supergenius" rating for Intelligence on here. I just went and checked to confirm that.

Now couldn't it be argued that Rick should be rated at LEAST as high as Luthor and Stark, given the level of tech that he develops being FAR beyond even their stuff (while also being FAR more casual. . .when asked to make a dog smarter, within a few SECONDS he had tweaked a helmet to enhance the dog's intellect), as well as the fact that he is implied to probably be the smartest person in his entire universe or even MULTIVERSE when it comes to scientific genius (for example, he is the ONLY one with the recipe for Concentrated Dark Matter, allowing him to travel faster than anyone else in the universe. Meanwhile, the evidence for the smartest-in-the-multiverse claim would be the existence and nature of the Council of Ricks). I mean, he casually built a fully functioning (and as mentioned, fastest in the universe) intergalactic spacecraft from junk he found in his son-in-law's garage. That spacecraft runs on a battery which is an ENTIRE SELF-CONTAINED MINIATURE UNIVERSE WITH A PLANET IN IT THAT GENERATES ELECTRICITY FOR RICK'S SHIP! The ship has a high-level A.I. and defensive measures easily able to wipe out entire human armies. Again, all built from stuff he found in the frigging garage. One morning he was bored at the breakfast-table and nobody heard him the first time he asked if someone could pass the butter, so in about a minute he built a little robot for passing butter which is fully self-aware and sapient. He does things like matter manipulation, creating dimensional portals, anti-matter weaponry, etc., all as if they were the easiest, most casual thing in the world. It should also be mentioned that he is constantly shit-faced drunk and often high (on god knows what alien/other-dimensional drugs) when he does all of this amazing super-science.

So, if all that doesn't mean he should be bumped-up to "Super Genius," what does?

Agreed, he should definitley be rated as a supergenius

Yeah right? I was actually SHOCKED, reading through his page here, to find that he ISN'T rated as "supergenius," while guys like Luthor and Stark are! I mean holy crap, if Luthor were as great a scientific genius as Rick, he would have beaten and killed Superman the very first time he tried and wouldn't have even needed Kryptonite :p

I only went into soooo much detail up there basically as "evidence," for folks who don't watch the series, that Rick's science is supergenius level.

I don't think we had the intelligence chart when the Rick profile was made. Anyway, I agree. He's defiantly a supergenius.

Well the intelligence-chart is nothign set-in-stone or truly codified, anyway. But even so, I think we can all agree that "genius" or "extraordinary" genius are categories of intellect that are still possible for real humans in the real world. Characters like Rick Sanchez, or to a lesser degree folks like Tony Stark, Lex Luthor, Mr. Fantastic, etc., go FAR BEYOND the levels of intelligence that are possible for real-world humans, and so need an entirely separate term, "supergenius."

Yes. Supergenius is perfectly fine for Rick.

We do not have an in-between rating from supergenius to nigh-omniscient.

Supergenius is a wide tier. I will close this thread now.
