The Grail Wars had a kind of spontaniety to them, but also had a clear direction. None of the other RPs have really pulled that off, especially not with full time GMs. It's kinda nice to have a clear goal and a path to it from the beginning, but that doesn't work too well in a setting with a true GM, because it would kill spontaniety.
Nah, I liked it cause it had clear direction, and it was players who moved that not GMs. No waiting needed. For other stuff we know the direction, but we have no path there unless it's provided by us.
