Regarding Power Inheritance

Rather simple question, but if a being is the "origin" of all the abilities in the verse (and can use them) would we include powers that need specific physiology or devices to work? Like for example, would the ability of "analysis" through a device (to know the power, ability etc) of an opponent be inherited by the being?

Not unless they can change their physiology at will or manifest the devices.
