Record Of Ragnarok Discussion Thread #1

Okay I'm wondering how this will go. We know who the fighters are for ragnarok for both gods and humanity.

We see that in apocalypse Zeus' name is not listed so obviously Zeus fights whoever wins Apocalypse and takes their spot or through some other way.

So for apocalypse there is at least 12 fights while ragnsrok has 3 if they do get completed (Odin primordial gods plot) left if the tournament ifs done normally. So if apocalypse just going to be a prequel to Ragnarok? I thought with it'd introduction and timing it would sever a greater purpose to the main series

That's what I thought as well, but at the current rate (If we continue the three chapter format for each fight, with a chapter or two between the rounds, it would take 70 months for this shit to finish. Five years compared to Record of Ragnarok's 3 years left (Not accounting for a fourth fight and assuming no background shit takes over for an entire round duration period.)

The only way I see it is if Apocalypse has jobber fights, only way to catch up

I'm bored, does anyone have any Versus Thread ideas? I want to use Beelzebub in particular.

Speaking of Beelzebub, shouldn't he have a key for before Hades gave him his cane? That was a pretty noteworthy milestone for both his arsenal and his character development considering he acts and fights completely differently afterwards.

No cause we see absolutely nothing of Beelzebub without his staff other than he got whooped by Hades low diff. No point making another key for Beel at a power level we dont know (and cant compare to Ragnarok)

Okita managed to create a thrust based attack using the same principals of Ama no Magaeshi, so he should also get shockwave manipulation

Next fight is Simo Häyhä vs Loki. It's not even revealed in this chapter, its included in the teaser which just text talking about what'll on in the next one

Turns out Odin is one of the primordial gods, who, along with seven other primordials, tried to wipe out their creation, the gods. The other seventy-seven gods, including Izanami, stopped them, but ended with them all nearly being wiped out. Odin was among the four strongest primordials, including Satan, Chaos, and Ymir. These fours primordial gods ended up sealing themselves away in sacred items before they could be killed. Odin's was the Divine Weapon, Gramr, which some no named god found causing him to become Odin

Prometheus lands the first lows, head butting Sun Wukong before grabbing him by the nuts. We get Prometheus's backstory which talks about how he had sided with the gods during the Titanomachy but betrayed them later when he gave humanity fire. Prometheus is locked up with the other titans who hate him for being a traitor, thus he is beat up daily. Heracles then eventually comes to free him, stating that he doesn't believe Prometheus belongs there just for trying to give humanity a chance. The two titans bullying Prometheus, Cratus (Yes, Kratos) and his sister Bia, try to attack Heracles but Prometheus stops them with his chains and using the same head butt he used on Wukong. Prometheus's chains apparently cause whoever they are wrapped around to feel an intense pain, with Prometheus being unaffected because he has the dog in him

Odin lucky Zeus wasn’t around based on the images

what's this mean for Beelzebub then. Explains how powerful he is.

It's not looking good for Wrometheus, backstory already....

People are theorizing that the character's with black eyes, Thor, Zeus, Beelzebub (When Satan takes control), and Odin (Who we know is possessed) are the new hosts of the primordial gods. Which does match-up with the pantheons those gods comes from Chaos (Greek), Ymir (Norse), Odin (Norse), Satan (Abrahamic). I'm just no sure when the other three would have come in contact with those artifacts, besides Thor since he's Odin's son

Interesting heory. Do you think that the series would be split into a new manga, Record of Ragnarok ends on the primordial coming out with their plan or do you think Record of Ragnaork would continue it in the current serialization.

The Primordial Gods want to wipe out the gods, so it would still be a Ragnarok for the humans and the gods

There's 11 bad guy Primordials? And Odin's big plan is to revive them all? Yea I'm definitely smelling Ragnarok 2 with the Ragnarok winners vs the Primordials

Apocalypse of the Gods finally gets to Atlas' feat, saying he lifts the sky and that all Titans possess comparable strength to that, even physically stronger than the Gods (Although we get characters like Hades who takes them all on and wins minus Prometheus ig). Do with this what you will but saying the Sky makes it super diet compared to how crazy it actually is in real myth.

Also Prometheus' chains are insane hax that apparently can give whoever in ensnared by them every imaginable pain hundreds-fold? And he just no sells that? Wukong is in bad shape rn but still think hes winning

As cool and valid as the feat is tbf, the fact that this was a sealing technique (that somehow worked on higher tiers) makes it feel more like it related to the hax tiering, as opposed to how powerful they may physically be. If its able to restrain the Arche and such...

Not sure this is gonna scale to Ragnarok members either, given only Izanagi (a chief god not participating) cant really be scaled to. Zeus possibly, and even Hajun seems to be soft-confirmed as one of the Primordials, but for now its a bit iffy to say.

Not really tbh

Black holes have such high density and mass that it's impossible for light to escape the pull and even horizon. Not only that it warps space and time with the aforementioned time being compressed so much that time dilation for the primordial gods is slowing them down. Essentially they'll not have speed break out because of the effects of the black hole, essentially sealing them in.

probably the most natural way to seal a person without other-dimensional sealing or magic items

Assuming it is accepted as a actual blackhole and a Ap feat. It should scale to other Chief Gods like the likes of Hades, Zeus, Shiva etc and Poseidon. Should also include Beelzebub and tesla if we take the Zeus getting scared at Chaos stuff although it might mean something different in the future (like Beel awakening Satan ?)

I'm guessing the reason it scales to Shiva is because he fought Raiden, who has the strongest muscles, putting him above Adam and Qin in pure strength, right?

Well not really, cause now its been confirmed that Izanagi is one of the primordial gods, and not an actual God in the same vein as the other chief gods. This suggests he is likely stronger than them if we have nothing to scale them to feats. Zeus being the chief god, while hes obv one of the most powerful, doesnt necessarily mean he should scale

Even current Odin is likely not as strong as he used to be, since hes still trying to resurrect the others

Gods not fighting in Ragnarok doesn't mean that they're weaker than the those that did, it could be from a lack of interest of participating or they weren't on Zeus's radar

Odin has all the primordial relics already, Brünnhilde begs Loki to fight in round 11 (Practically asking him to die for since she has the perfect opponent for him. It seems the two have had some sort of prior relationship, at the very least a platonic one on Brünnhilde's side), Loki states that she didn't have to ask him since he's already set up to go next (Much to Anubis's chagrin), Loki has a ******* crash out in his room because he's heart broken, Ráðgríðr. The twelfth valkyrie is set out to search for Simo in the forest, she sets up a picnic and waits for him. He arrives with his dog and states he's ready to fight for the motherland. Brünnhilde chose Simo to fight Loki because he's the only one who can counter Loki's cunning and tricks.

And I do mean this ************ had a crashout. Bro is ******* tweaking
