Reaction Time Revision + A small rant on how this wiki presents Reaction Time

From what I've seen so far, the common denomination for Reaction Time seems to use the same ones as 'normal' Speed does, such as Relativisitic, Supersonic, Massively FTL, etcetera. However, from what I know about how reaction time works, this doesn't make any sense.

For one thing, Reaction Time by itself is a measure of time and not speed. It refers to how fast one can perceive the three types of stimuli: Audio, visual and touch stimuli. If you were to google the average reaction times for humans, you would see three different results, all measured in seconds. Take Trellis, a character from Amulet, for example. Trellis's reaction time to audio stimuli is about 0.00000301317 seconds, but that by itself doesn't translate into 'Supersonic' or 'FTL+' and whatnot. And this his only his audio stimuli. A character doesn't have '1' Reaction time either, they have 3. Potentially more if their series has some 'sixth-sense' shenanigans going on.

So already we have 2 big problems with how much Reaction Times are documented. They only list one type, instead of the 3+, and use a completely different unit than normal reaction time. What should happen, then, is each character getting three different abstractly long reaction times.

Nah.

An easy fix to having three reaction times would just be to take the average of Audio, Visual and Touch stimuli times to get some sort of 'default' that could be used to represent overall reaction time. But then you still have a big problem: A character's reaction time is now a very long number that, by itself, won't make a lot of sense to the average person.And in fact, by itself, it is actually a little meaningless. However, there is a way to convert very long numbers for reaction times into things like 'Supersonic' in a way that actually makes sense, too!

I call it the Reaction Time Comparison Chart.

See, in the standard battle assumptions page, each fighter is said to start 5 meters apart from each other. So, we'll be assuming that in the RTCT, a character is on level ground and is 5 meters apart from the certain object.

In an RTCT, what would happen is that, from 5 meters away from the character, some kind of object is triggered at a certain speed. The speed itself would align with the different levels of 'Speed' that are on this page. Here's the chart right here(in meters per second):



Immobile: Object is moving at 0 m/s. Takes 0 seconds to get to character.

Below Average Human: Object is moving at 1 - 5 m/s. Takes 5 - 1 seconds.

Normal Human: 5 - 7.7 m/s. 1 - 0.64935064935 seconds.

Athletic Human: 7.7 - 9.8 m/s. 0.64935064935 - 0.51020408163 seconds.

Peak Human: 9.8 - 12.51 m/s. 0.51020408163 - 0.39968025579 seconds.

I have Bob, a character whose reaction time is said to be 0.00004 seconds as an average. I then start to look through the list of numbers above (specficially the 'seconds') for a set of numbers that Bob falls into and-presto. Bob falls into the High Hypersonic+ category. What a Bob. And on Bob's hypothetical character profile page, Bob wouldn't have three different stats or a very long number-he'd have 'High Hypersonic+ Reaction time', and it would actually make sense.
