Reaction Speed/Burst speed

I go to sleep and this is what happens...Sigh. [Magic Arrows] like I said can be perceived as light speed, it really is up to the reader until the author speaks about it, I mean it quite literally is made of light and travels in a straight line to their target's location. It's either magically refracting or through air still with magic and always comes out at an angle just like real refraction. Not pushing for this to be recognized as light speed just showing. Like I said we should speak about this in general and not revive this CRT

@Hit The Badass

I think you should create a CRT with your points/evidence laid out because this one should be closed.

I would say to drop the issue of magic arrows. From the moment they are made of magic the whole situation is dubious, and as Ape said, "made of light" is not enough. The moment you are using something like magic to alter it and make it do things like turn abruptly which light would never do without plausible reason, you are already putting into doubt it's status as natural light or behaving like natural light does. The fact they keep going straight after turning helps, but this is far from enough. I also have some other issue with it but I'll check it out myself before bringing it up if I think I need to.

For the lightning, is there really not more?

Whether or not it's made of magic really doesn't matter so long as it meets a few of the criteria. Air does refract light but it's it's so small you can ignore it, in this case rather than bend of split it came out perpendicular to it's target. The argument against it is that it doesn't behave like real light, well real light does refract, in this case the light never entered a new medium but abrubtly made an angle, author really just has to either state it's light speed or the word 'refract' is used, like I said don't really shoot it down till something happens.

Lightning only meets 2 [ making muscles of affected beings contract] and [flowing through conducting materials] and if he/she can find somewhere that lightning also produces a smell then it meets another requirement, If not let's just leave it at that.

Whether its made of magic does indeed matter, especially when there's not many criteria fulfilled or it explicitly acts in odd ways. Light is not gonna reflect like that, especifically when is a whole clump of light energy instead of something like photons off diminute particles. And yes indeed, real light refracts... from something, not literally in the middle of the air while knowingly locking into a target. And I am shooting it down EXACTLY because nothing like that has happened, which is the whole point. Is something to keep in mind but not to use on a CRT if it's far from certain.

Unless I am missing something, only the first applies. We never see it conducting through anything, hitting a body does not exactly qualificate for that. And I wanted to clear out something first... does anyone besides the skeletal dragon dodges said electricity? Like, did Shalltear dodge the Call Greater Thunder? Because if she did not, we have a big inconsistency of Shalltear not dodging what pretty much looks like sky-to-ground lightning, but massive Skeletal Dragons can dodge normal chain lightning which there's no reason to assume its slower. And if we did assume, there's not much basis to assume that.

Light does refract at that angle, in this case it was air which is impossible to do, 2 posts up I did say It's either magically refracting or through air still with magic and always comes out at an angle just like real refraction. Also travelling in straight lines and refracting/turning at angles towards it's target doesn't really disqualify it, it seems you've had discussions about this, like I said it, it's really just missing a light speed quote or a refracting quote. The latter manipulating the refractive index of the medium to turn rather than turn itself

Lightning in the verse is effective against those that wear metal armour, you have to enchant to nullify/resist it, showing that it does freely flow through conductive material. I need to re-read that skeletal dodging thingy in a bit but Shalltear getting hit, someone could use the argument that she never tried to dodge just like the several times her and Ainz traded blows through spells and neither dodged (i'm not making that argument), if skeletal did actually try/dodge and Shalltear did actually try to dodge but fails horribly it immediately disqualifies the fodder feat. Also, again this could all be discussed in general instead of this CRT, I'll now ask mod to close it.
