Re Zero Discussion Thread: Season 4 is Real

Everything from Wilhelm easily cutting off Kurgan's arms despite being physically outmatched to Carol cutting someone physically comparable to her in half as they use a technique to increase their durability by a considerable amount should have already been enough justification for limited durability negation to begin with 🫄

quick question, if Hell's snipe and Jiwald reached Reinhard at the same time, doesn't this finally give us a confirmation for HS to be relative if not equal to SoL?
It did seem that way to me.

From what we saw, Reinhard didn’t appear to use the Flow Method to enhance himself, so I’d consider this more of a “base” Reinhard performance honestly.

As the Sword Saint, Reinhard is merely following orders from the royal castle. Moreover, he has gone to great lengths to avoid any casualties by not bringing any other soldiers— he has sealed away his devastating combat power and is still facing Garfiel.

To put it simply, Garfiel is in his strongest state, with both his spirit and physical strength at their peak, while Reinhard is in his weakest state, with low motivation and self-imposed limitations due to concerns about the damage to those around him.

yeah limited dura negation should be on the page

Reinhard is always using the flow method to enhance himself. Everyone is always using the flow method to enhance themselves. ******* Subaru is always using it.

I don't really know what people expected. These are opponents said to be the at the top of strength in the world. If you belived Cecilus would be able to fight Reinhard at all then Garfiel and Wilhelm together should have no difficulty doing the same.

Tappei none stop sucking Rein's **** in Q&A, but when it comes to it, and Rein fights people with plot armor, he **** up facing a bunch of mid tiers. He even pulled Reid on them.

Resurrection merchant.

Reinhard was nerfed again, and he didn't wanna cause them harm. Its literally stated at the beginning of the fight that he was holding back immensely gang🥀

This is correct, in fact Reinhard is the only character who uses it 24/7. But he's not always using it full-throttle. In his very first fight VS Elsa, he basically just fought defensively just like he is now, while refusing to use EMCC to avoid disrupting Emilia's Spiritial Arts healing.

Simply put, this is Nerfedhard trying not to hurt a bunch of people he could one-shot if he put some oomph into his Flow Method. Recall Reinhard vs Corpse Theresia, while the current Wilhelm is still just a bit weaker than her.

This is true. He is holding back. To be clear, when I say "everyone is always using it" I mean in fights.

Fairly clear that if Reinhard were at his full power, things would have been very different
Reinhard: [Apologies, but this is as far as it goes.]

Reinhard appeared to be standing upon the back of “Aldebaran” midair, and the hand he held aloft, brandishing naught as he readied a karate chop, was sharper and more lethal a blade than any commonplace renowned sword.

That brandish seemed as if it could likely sever even the Divine Dragon’s dragonhusk, but――,

At the raging blow of a swordlike wind, the dragon’s claw, peeled and sliced off, danced through the air. Cramped. In order to swing his swords, in order for the Divine Dragon to wield its tail and fangs to the fullest, this battleground was far too cramped. The Sword Demon’s heels exploding, his shimmering swords flashed at a speed that consigned all notions of sound and wind to oblivion, piercing into the chest of the Divine Dragon, and causing the space around them to burst asunder.

A Dragon’s scales, their hardness was greatly influenced by the aggregate amount of Mana possessed by the individual.

The mightier and longer-lived the Dragon, the more robust and tenacious they grew; henceforth, in regards to the Divine Dragon who reigned supreme over all others, its draconic scales were of a hardness that surpassed even diamond.

Against those diamond dragonscales, the Sword Demon relentlessly swung his steel, repeating attacks of the striking, slashing, and stabbing variety. Even after all that, the steel in his grip was in prime condition―― specially prepared for the Sword Demon to accomplish his goal, the twin swords Trias were a masterpiece of the same swordsmith that had forged the renowned blade Astrea, with which he bore a deep connection.

Their handles fit comfortably in his hands, and integrating their weight with his body, the swords’ shimmer traded blows with diamond, still unchipped――,

"—No way."

The answer was revealed in a visible form, and Reinhard's eyes were filled with astonishment.

"That's your... that's your bad habit. You misjudge the level of resolve of others."

Wilhelm's blue eyes, as still as the surface of a lake, gazed upon that astonishment and conveyed it.

The light from the sword was unleashed, tracing a semicircle as it moved—cutting through Garfiel's raised flank and passing through Reinhard, who suffered a deep cut to his leg.

"It finally arrived..."

It was truly a case of "letting the flesh be cut to break the bone"—the experience of fighting back-to-back in Pristella proved invaluable in this silent coordination between Garfiel and Wilhelm.

In Reinhard's mind, if Garfiel had intervened in the sword's trajectory, Wilhelm should have stopped his attack. However, the "Sword Demon" did not do so, instead understanding the objective that Garfiel and his companions had to accomplish.

Therefore, trusting in Garfiel's regenerative abilities, he cut down Reinhardt along with Garfiel.

Yeah and also, a nerfed to oblivion, extremely injured, fatigued Reinhard somewhere in Arc 9 against Satella was stated to be able to end a fight instantly fighting any other person in the world (same with Satella)

I think Halibel is the funniest transcendent, conceptually. He's just super-normal and very casual. Cecilus and Vague are psychos, Reinhard has his own burdens and "unique" view of justice, while Halibel is just like an uncle.

because it has character designs from re:zero creator
Son NO ONE is reading Re:Zero for Otsuka-sensei I promise you that

He can cook. I will say that.

Also, the trailer had Reid cutting Anastasia's first Jiwald! Doesn't look anything like the novel describes, but good enough!!

Reid does react to the light attacks at the very last frame possible like i had guessed/hoped

He must be the animators favorite since he canonically moves the least bit possible to dodge attacks, mf barely moved at all when he was dodging.
